When it comes to problems such as negotiations with Russia and what's going on in the Middle East, my step-dad watches an English news channel called 'Sky News' instead of channels such as CNN and Fox News. I don't know if what my step-dad says is true, but he says he prefers to watch foreign news channels because they're a lot less bias, and show current events from all kinds of different perspectives (if any English bronies can confirm or deny this, then that'd be great  ). My opinion is that you should listen to multiple sources in order to weed out fact from opinions and false information. However, I understand if you're not interested enough to put forth the energy.

So, where do you guys get your information?

A combination of internet and alternate media sources as well as general research. I have actually read through a lot of legislation as well as government and corporate white papers and the amount of information that is out there but that is not in the news is staggering. I tend to not watch that much mainstream media because nearly all of it is propaganda designed to make us good little slaves that are in constant fear of everything except things which are actual threats like the growing police state or the dollar going down for example.

Mainly through BBC America if I even watch TV anymore. I don't generally research things, but I really should. I suppose that's why I stick to one source, although I don't assume that something as worldwide as the BBC has any bias.

But it's mainly laziness, truthfully. mlp-tawkward.png

Mostly I don't. I could care less about most of the information that crosses my path about the world. If something is so important that I absolutely must know it then it will make itself known to me.

Eh, I don't like the news really at all typically, atleast any news channel i've watched, it's usually just dumb and I just don't like the media, news especially not.

The internet is where I hear about most stuff I guess. Or else my parents who watch the news tell me about it. Or someone else IRL maybe.

The news is usually just either annoying, depressing, or misinformed, and thus annoying. So I don't like it. They just seem concerned in either scaring people, or enforcing stereotypical stuff, or being ignorant, or throwing bias in.

I'll stop ranting about the news now ;p.

But yeah, most of the stuff I hear about from the internet, or my parents, or people at school IRL.

I don't watch TV anymore either. If something peaks my interest or if I feel productive enough I'll check things online almost always.

Internet. I barely watch TV on my own anymore. Usually while I start to use my computer I'll see the news on the MSN page. It's pretty convenient.

I don't usually go out of my way to keep up on current events. Sometimes a youtuber I watch will bring up some big news story, or I'll hear it from my friends, but other than that, nothing in particular.

My mom has always got our local Fox News station on the tv in the mornings and evenings, so I tend to catch wind of what's being covered on there. Other than that though, I don't follow anything else. I can't stand the national news stations, NBC in particular.

My phones always gives me updates on current news around the globe. Plus there’s a Japanese channel news thst I sometime watch that basically have most of the important issues aside from the US. Other time is just my local news. While Stephen Colbert is a comedy, he’s sometime great pointing out the recent news about the US politic. Something for me to be aware of while searching up for more informations.

Then there is the debate sections..

I used to watch the mainstream cable news frequently, but now I can't stand to. Too much corporate influence, too much bias, too many agendas getting shoved in the viewer's face.

I now stick to local TV news, online editions of a few newspapers, and the BBC (because I've found that it brings less bias to the table when reporting on American and world news than pretty much any big American news outlets).
