What fandoms are rivals to the Brony fandom?

I think any brony that considers anyone a rival or hates other fandoms forgets the number 1 true brony Rule.

I beg to differ, since I'm in both fandoms. I also know several other bronies that are furries and vice versa. I've lost a few friends since becoming a brony. but meh, their loss. There is some hate/arguing between fandoms. But people make too much of a big deal about it.

 

"Sharper blade" bronies aren't always in the right either. Some bronies can be just as hateful as any furry. After all, we're all humans. Judging something/someone based on their fandom choice isn't fair, or right.

I know that, bronies are not perfect, there is no such thing as a 'pure' social structure.

 

However, this is a thread to discuss 'rival' fandoms and I was simply sharing my thoughts. I often witnessed hate brought about on bronies via excessive oversimplification and immaturity by furries with little reasoning behind their statements.

Ahh, I getcha. Yea. furry fandom has been around much longer, so they've been able to build up a bigger reputation of sorts.

Aside from misguided association there are a lot of bronies who are also furries.

Why not? You have two hands after all.

I think there can be some rivalry between fans of different characters in a show (And this near to only shows on contests and such) , but not between different fandoms.

The Warhammer 40K fandom isn't really that fond of the brony fandom jugding by the amount of anti-pony stuff and the fact that MLP:Fim and W40K are extreme opposites....yeah.

 

Also, added to this is the rather anti-human view many bronies which is not really well recieved by the Imperium Fans...

The sonic the hedgehog fandom rivals bronys. They alway shove the sonikku crap in our faces and they have never ending rants about why sonic is faster than rainbow dash (I think that rainbow dash is faster and I am not a sonic fanboy). But sometimes they are our allies and that's thanks to the sonic and rainbow dash fanfics

Furries would be the main one I am aware of. A very good majority of both loath eachother.  

 

But realistically, I'd say pretty much every other fandom. There's bound to be someone from any successful fandom that dislikes bronies.

I believe the Adventure Time fandom is sort of a sister fandom (I think) because of the similar natures of each show. I wouldn't say there's a rivalry between them . Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about .

I don't actually see as much Star Wars stuff around as much as I do pony stuff, ponies are more contagious I guess because I've seen ponified everything.

Humanity is the best. I always choose humans in games that have fantasy/sci-fi races.

As for my opinion, I don't really think we have rivals, but I guess we're kinda like the america of fandoms. Best fandom there is and we get a little hate from everybody, and we're all in other fandoms as well (like how america is a melting pot)
