I'd be up for us hosting a World Cup, but I think it's pretty much impossible to change it now, especially after the amount of work Qatar have put into it.

 

This whole corruption thing could be seen from a mile off, I'm really not surprised at all. Something as big as Fifa is bound to have some dodgy dealings going on under the table, it's just funny how it's taken this long to come out. I'm glad Blatter has gone, hopefully we'll see some changes.

 

I just want it all to be over with so we can get back to the most important thing, football!

I am going to be brave and say that China will win against the hosts. The pressure will get to the canadians and i think china has a very disciplined team. I say 1:2 for China.

 

New Zealand will have no chance against the Netherlands. New Zealand just dosen't have the international class to compete with the big girls in football. I predict a 3:0 for the dutch.

Little womens world cup update.

 

In the round of 16, Germany will play against Sweden and the USA will play against Norway.

 

If both keep progressing, they will both meet in the Semi Finals. Keep your fingers crossed guys.

The german women have reached the quarter finals, defeating sweden 4-1, with alot of confidence. The opponent will be decided tomorrow, between France vs. South Korea.

When the Copa America and the Women's World cup have finished, I will become an empty shell. I will go into hibernation, only coming out of it to watch the new MLP episode. That will be the only quality left of a Saturday. When I wasn't a brony, and the season was over, I wouldn't know what to do on a Saturday.

The second half is about to start between USA and Colombia, score is 0-0. As expected, Colombia's not just going to roll over despite being underdogs and we'll need to come out strong.

Happy to see both the US and England proceed to the next stage. Whilst I was rooting for the US against Colombia, I felt bad for their goalie Perez(?), she played well in the first half and probably could have got away with a yellow card. Morgan gets one sent off and embarrasses the other. XD

The quarters are looking very interesting. Germany plays France and the USA play against China. Both matches can go eitherway. But i really hope that Germany and the USA win, so we and the US meet in the semi finals.

 

Also, my dream final is Germany vs. England.

Germany vs France could very well prove to be the game of the tournament, I have high hopes for that fixture. As much as I would like to see my home team progressing to the final, I don't think England have some of the quality of the other teams...something which will probably become apparent as the stakes get higher. Hopefully they will prove me wrong! I would have liked Spain to have qualified, their 1 point total really doesn't reflect their efforts at all, they just desperately needed a decent striker.

I think if they have a really good day and Canadas Home pressure gets too big, they might be able to catch the canadians of guard. If there is one thing that i learned throughout the years, watching and following this sports, then that anyone can defeat anyone in football. Also, France will be tough. It's pretty much a clash of 2 favorites. But i think if we play the same as we did against Sweden, we will do it.

 

If it comes to Germany vs England in the finals, i don't think we need luck this time.
