Would you ever buy a Vacuum Metalized Pony figure?

For those of you who are curious about this term, Vacuum Metalization is a process where plastic surfaces are covered with a thin and shiny metal coating inside a vacuum chamber.  The Beast Wars era of Transformers utilized figures that have Vacuum Metalized parts(Transmetal and Transmetal II).  Recently, Vacuum Metalization has made a comeback with the new Age of Extinction line up(As a matter of fact, I just picked up the AoE set with Silver Knight Optimus Prime and Fall of Cybertron Grimlock, both with Vacuum Metalized parts.)

If possible, would you purchase any My Little Pony toys that have been Vacuum Metalized(Perhaps variations of the Mane 6, or other characters like the Cutie Mark Crusaders, the Wonderbolts, DJ Pon-3, the Alicorn Princesses and even Derpy Hooves.)?

Uh, I don't really think I would want to, and I don't think they would since why make pony toys out of some metal. Transformers, yes I can

understand "To make them more like the real thing" but honestly I wouldn't since I don't think I would actually like it.

Actually, do you remember when WeLoveFine released metal chrome variations of Derpy and DJ Pon-3?  It's happened before.

  • 2 weeks later...

I just saw a buyer's guide for all the Blind Bag pony toys. There were are few ponies that were in metallic colors.

Rarity was a metal gray/silver, Applejack was gold, and Pinkie Pie was a metallic pink.

I'd support vacuum metalized pony figures. I think it could totally work! If not for kids, then why not exclusives for the serious collectors? :)
