One of my pet peeves is when somebody makes a long-winded comment about how the person who made the video didn't do a good job, or that their new stuff sucks and claiming that they are making a criticism.

I only wish these people understand how difficult it is to make videos, and that criticism is more than just being mean--it's providing critical feedback on things that can be improved on as well as pointing out what is good in something.

Look if you don't like the show that's very much your business and I respect your opinion, but DO NOT call me autistic, a faggot, gay pony f***er, lesbian, or a threat to humanity. Just for mentioning MLP at all in a video that has nothing to do with it, people in the comments go into full-on rage mode

 

So yeah if people like that would just kindly refrain from expressing their hatred the world would be a better place, and bronies wouldn't be afraid to post harmless comments anymore

 

That and Darude-Sandstorm, and people shouting FIRST! or SECOND! gets on my nerves

Most of the time the comment section is toxic. Trolls, whiners, and arguments!

 

But sometimes there are those good few that you actually like to read. It's just become the norm in any comment section really, and the whole internet at that.

Well, they're slightly classier than yahoo answers but less than reddit. Perhaps thats because those types of comments on reddit are usually downvoted to hell...

 

But anyway:

• The internet tough guy
• <ENSERT MISPELED RELIGON SPAM HEER>
• Stupid debates and arguments that make Bush's "You forgot Poland" moment look like the greatest counterpoint ever made.
• One person with a mlp avatar posts a remark about the video. "BRONIES RUIN EVERYTHIGN!"
• "X made Y accounts to thumbs-down this" or "Thumbs up my comment if X"
• Chain comments (post this on 20 videos or else), the person is either encouraging spam or unbelievably stupid.
• The reddit/4chan/9gag rejects obsessed with fedoras, rage comics and putting "le" in front of everything

and I think that about sums it up... I guess "stupidity" is what I hate about them.

Most of the time I don't have an issue, but then there are times when I really wish they didn't exist. The main issue is that it's all one big circlejerk. Constructive criticism and ignorant moron comments are both met with a swarm of viciousness, then there are the people who miss the point of the video entirely. Case in point, the latest cinemasins video, there's a comment where someone goes on a tirade at how ignorant they are because they didn't take the book into consideration to sin a damn movie. Really people? The channel is cinemasins, not freakin booksins.

 

I once saw a comment defending pedophilia with 30 upvotes.

 

I think something inside me died that day and I still get a full body shiver when I think about it.

Oh yeah, in the YouTube comments, there's no such thing as constructive criticism to these people. Instead of providin tips to people on how to be a better video game maker it usually ends up being, "you're editing and arguments sucks you stupid autistic man child! Go die!"
