The one I picked for Cacora is a new one. Rather literally. She were spawned to deal with another problem, made by a draconequui, because that's how you sort issues as one of those: You make a new one, to deal with the former one, and sees how that goes.

She's a friendly one, currently nameless, and you'll have to forgive her broken speech. It's been less than 20 hours since she were teleported from the sea, and mutated, so she's still getting used to words.

I have a few chars with scythes. Cali may like them. Depends on how she likes the treat of getting her soul torn out through her nostrils, if she becomes annoying. From one of them, anyway. And it is really more of a threat, than something that'd actually happen. The second one would just nervously ask her to please calm down, and maybe try a pie. Maybe something I need to think of later down the line, depending on how things goes here.

I'm surprised that Cali turns out to be Mr. Fantastic too. I didn't see that twist.

As for story, right now, it have no direction. I tend to just let things flow like the wind, and see where it leads. It spares me from having to put in actual effort.  Or in actuality, from having to keep track of that sorta way down the line, kind of grand tale. Simpler to have some ideas, push it, and see what happens. Sometimes it leads to weird places. Heck, ended up making an entire country to use with @Rising Dusk due to a lull in the post that felt like I had to do something. Things went bonkers for a good deal of time after that.

Yeah, I had to rush the post. So her personality didn't really shine through. Working from a phone isn't easy. Especially when one tries to quote parts of a post and it won't let you easily do so.

Once Blitz Boom gives his official approval of Silverwing, Cali and him should have an interaction. Being as they are both technically similar. Silverwing though only has three forms right now with a fourth on lockdown. The fourth can't be accessed except when all of existence would be threatened by a grouping of beings or an Individual being. But all of them but the locked form requires something in order to use their powers. Without it, they would be powerless and can potentially die. It's a draw back to their powers' potential.

Sorry I didn't respond before. Some long days recently, and completely forgot to check.

I figure a handful of posts more to get a broad idea, will have me tentatively clear Silverwing a bit more for other folks, though still encouraging some less populated areas for a start, just to take it slow.

And while I remember it, if I may make a suggestion, Midnight? It might help reading what the beings are saying more, if you gave their talking text color, and/or sectioned it off on their line itself? Not always I am entirely sure what your chars are saying, compared to potential inner dialogue.

Also, not entirely sure why, but that picture reminds me of teacher from a PS1 era, Fire Emblem combat style sort of game. I think it's the cube beneath the feet.

It's good mate, no worries.  I'm mostly just setting up things anyway, and drawing a bit of a blank with what to write as Zeehva right now, as Scarcity tends to steal the picture when she is there, for one reason or another. There will be time for more closely knit, friendship-building fun soon enough.

Also, the story I wrote in the last post, were basically made entirely on the fly. I just recalled the artifact being full of dark magic, so figured it'd have a history. If anything I mention about it at any time, conflicts with your cannon, feel free to correct me, and I will adapt the posts accordingly.  Your trinket, your decision, after all. I were merely attempting to add some flavor from before it were in use by Magnolia.

As for Cacora's action. She is newly reawakened to her true form. Thus she isn't sure of what she should be. She has been a pony for a super long time and just now relearning she is a Changeling. But because of the more dislike/distrust that ponies have for Changelings and her not yet knowing of the Metamorphosized Changelings to which they would know she is not one. The Metamorphosized Changelings would also be able to tell that something about her makes her unable to become one. Cacora's concept is based on an older OC of mine and I built Cacora as a non-directly-cannon connected variant of this OC. If you are able to remember about a character called Chrysteel Amorè Chrysalis, then you would know where the original idea that became Cacora comes from. If you would like to know more about Chrysteel then I am more than happy to share. Plus Chrysteel has undergone allot of out of RP redevelopment. But her basic origin remains the same and most won't like the uniqueness of the idea and it's more non PG connection with two specific cannon characters. One of which happens to have been like the mother for all Changelings. But that's a story for another time.

 

As for Silverwing's part, he knows more about Spell Matrices than he is also willing to share, for trust reasons. But from what he said, it may be the only way to keep him from becoming a threat. She, however, did give a secondary option. Though it's not an option he would desire to have happen. Placing him in a pocket dimension should he get to the death point would be considered a last resort should nothing else be able to work. And he only needs a basic focus matrix to stabilize and the basic Matrices don't usually carry any spells in them. They are only usable to focus spells and as storage spaces for spells to be powered at a later time. And when he gets a spell matrix is also when Silverwing's special talent for them will show. Until then he is more or less than bearly functional right now.

Maybe you're stretching yourself out too much? I'd suggest maybe retracting from the group one for now, and then take a breather, where you can then respond to the one with Zeehva in it when you are feeling more alright. Troubled times these days, so some folks tend to not always be in the mood, and it ain't good to try and force it. Just leads to a big burnout.  A bit of a breather can sometimes help things, I find.

And as for length of replies, you needn't worry about that at all. Right now it is kinda long, since the ones I use are blabbering, but that is not meaning that you have to do something like that either. And we'll soon be out of the warehouse, so there'll be more direction from Magnolia herself, if it were. Just had to relay the message from the council first.

I have never heard of Chrysteel Amorè Chrysalis, so I can't comment on that, no.

As for that mother of all changelings thing, I think it best to have that as a sort of legend, rather than some sort of direct familiar lin, between that one and Cacora. Don't have to be high royalty, to be quirky.  And the unnamed mare (I honestly haven't named her. Figure it sorta happens eventually by itself) have never even seen a changeling, beyond the one I mentioned previously, that she smelled towards. She wouldn't understand, nor judge. She'd mostly just question if any of them were food.  What happens when you're less than a full day out of the water. Regular society things aren't something she have caught up on. Though she have learned not to try and eat equines, and ask before eating potential new prey, so Cacora is safe. ^^

It's part of Vivid's story that she can't go against her contract, which she made sure prevented her from causing harm. As for the other dimension she might push him into, it's less of a pocket dimension, and more of one layered closely to this one, that have long since been ravaged by dark forces. What life he could destroy there with an explosion, is more towards the line of dark shades that do unspeakable things to those who strays from the path.

As or the matrix and everything, we'll see what happens. Maybe I'll have Vivid help them with a shortcut of sorts, through this other layer, if they go towards Cadence.

Just asking if you have some kind of end goal in mind with the chimera? Because I'm bad a writing combat "against" other players due to the line between OP and pushover is a small one. You want injuries? you want this to be just walk in the park for the dragons? maybe chance to see more of the magic? it would help me to know what we are seeking out with this. If I knew what was wanted, I could write more than just "X fought in this general style until they didn't." 

It could also probably be better if there's a desirable end result to instead of what we are doing now, have me play out the whole fights with my characters (or in other word, me controlling both my characters and the chimera they are fighting after you have set the stage so to speak) since that would allow more detail from my end instead of "X did this again and again but if this happened they did this and if instead this happened they would do that...." 

 

also, how fireproof are the chimera, I at some point had Charir try to burn them but I'm not sure if you missed that or if the lack of mention meant that fire does nothing to them?

Honestly, I don't. I just figured Ruby wanted to kill some things.

You can basically consider the chimeras they are up against though, as free for all NPC's. Do with them what you want.  Bigger ones are coming, with the biggest being way, way off, and so far just being annoyed with them.

If ya want, I can also just have them forcibly removed, and they go check out something else. If Ruby feels like murdering at some point, she can then go back here for some fun time.  Sort of like a dragon version of a relaxing retreat.

The chimeras are not really fire proof. I must have missed that bit, so that's on me. You can torch them and make for a good, roasted meal no worries.

As for the desired end result... I dunno. Just figured Ruby would get a chance to show off, and on the bigger ones, get a chance to test how healed her thigh are, via them going in for more physical combat, and with muscles to back things at that point. Charir might get a sudden spike too in what he does, via electricity. The whole adrenaline rush, from being in the position of *Fight, or die* that could come off a near miss, might have him really show off something.

Honestly? With electricity going around on him, and his stature, I sorta assume that at some point, he is basically going to be a ball lightning. Just smashing through everything, like an electrified wrecking ball.

I sorta assumed that eventually, they'd get bored and leave, or Ruby would find one were too much, and get out. I figure these smaller ones, can just be dealt with with a small mention of stuff like *After they dealt with this wave, they'd wait for the big one to get closer* that sort. The big ones they heard roar, are Ruby's size, so frankly, if you feel like it, take control of one or two. They're the consorts to their alpha, so taking down a challenger like Ruby, is something they'd desire, for a better standing with her.

That's not necessary, and I think how you figured is a good way to go about it, the small ones getting dealt with without too much complications and the bigger ones coming after.

I'll probably do that, as it's easier to control my characters when I know what is happening exactly.

I'm also bit tired so I didn't read every word with full attention, but yes, I'd say it answered my question, as the main thing was about the hoped end result, because it's hard to know how "hard" I should go with the fight when I didn't know how strong the enemy was supposed to be compared to Ruby

I didn't leave it out. I just had nothing to respond to. I just checked again, and between posts, you hadn't responded. I put one in at night Thursday, then responded to those that were there yesterday. Looking at the timing of the posts after it though, it seems as if you may have posted just a little bit after I were done, and had entered the post for the day. So a matter of unfortunate timing it appears.

As for Magnolia specifically though, I wrote in a respond to her the last time, on Thursday. Posting it here, so you can see it here as well, though it is roughly 2/3'ths down the page, among the other posts from Thursday.

The forest got more into sight, as she turned her head and gave a tired smile towards Magnolia. Such an unfortunate soul, to have been given so much potential, but only had it corrupted, by the darkness of others. There'd be some work in getting her to embrace the light, but she had reached her hoof out to Zeehva, and she believed that in time, the mare would become a pillar of any community, lucky enough to have her. They just had to put in the effort, and now that she had her answers on her, she needed another path in her life. Helping Magnolia, would be a good one, and one that she knew her husband would have approved of.

"And well... S-Scarcity trades in favors, if not riches. If she hears about your misery, she might offer some help. Long as you're able to do something in return. I can think of worse to speak with about your worries. For a problem solver, she seems moral enough."

She wouldn't say too much, in case the mare could hear her. She may be helpful, but she doubted Scarcity were the sort who liked being treated rudely, or spoken badly about.

In another age, she could imagine her husband taking contact to her. Begrudgingly, but still.

"But you shouldn't focus on them, okay? Right now, we should try and look forward. Not just to get to a town, o-obviously. I mean in general. Because trying to go down a new path like you are Magnolia, is gonna take time, and it might not go well at first. But you'll get through it, okay? I'll be there, and make sure that you always have someone there to believe in you, and make sure you remember that no matter what others might say: You're a good pony, and you deserve a chance to prove it."

A strange thing, to give this talk to others, but... It was good, right? It were important, and definitely the right thing to do. She just hoped she'd be able to be enough here, to help Magnolia.

Zeehva ran one across a rather nasty one, slashing her throat. A troubling one, that the healers had been amazed didn't cause her issues, such at permanent muteness. Even for zebras, they hadn't been sure their crafts could do much for her at the time. She had been extremely lucky, and she knew it well.

"I lived among zebra, to be with my husband. I earned my stripes from them, and in the end, they saved me. Yet they too say that my scars can never be healed, before I let go of the past. And... I don't know how, yet. It still hurts to think about losing him. Good or bad times, I think about him every day. I just c-can't..."

Her steps slowed, and eyes closed, as tears fell from her eyes yet again. Why must it torment her to remember him so? She knew he would want her to think of him fondly, and find a life beyond him. It were what would make him happy. But she just couldn't make herself see past him. From their wedding rings to her wedding dress, which she carried on her being, she couldn't let go of the dream that had been so cruelly stolen from her.

"It will take time, and for me to feel as if he have gotten justice for what happened to him. The first step towards that, will be when I am ready to read this file. Hopefully, it will be soon, yet until then, I would like to focus fully on you. You have scars of your own that needs tending, even if they can't be seen."
