I bought a 2005 Hyundai Elantra GT as my first car. Fully loaded, 84k miles. It only lasted 4 months. I totaled it last September driving home from a Pirates game.

I've always driven newer cars. My first was in high school, Chevy cobalt. 06 I think? I'm forgetful.

I'm not exactly loaded, so outside of cd and ac... didn't even have power windows if I remember correctly.

Ok it was a 1978 ford pinto station wagon and the color was lime green. I had it until I forgot to check the antifreeze and had the block crack on me. Oh and it was stick shift.

2006 Suzuki Igniss. And i'm still using it. It's a tough machine. Took lots of punishment, and it's works without complaints. Of course, it needs a bit of a treatment once in a while but hey, beggars can't be choosers.

A powder blue 1997 Chevy Lumina. It was a grandma car -- literally. It was my great grandma's car XD I drove it for 6 years; I actually JUST bought my own car a few months ago. I have a much cooler car now. Now my little sister has the Lumina. It has a few problems, but it just keeps on chuggin' along!

A 1965 Ford Mustang notch back, 289 V8 9 inch rear end and a C4 automatic trasmission. Caspian blue paint, Thing was sweet except the gas mileage.

It served me well for four years, but was recently sold in favor of a slightly newer, much nicer beetle in green. Betty was sold to a dad buying it as his daughter's first car, so the cycle continues

A 1992 Jeep Cherokee Laredo. It sucked down gas like no tomorrow but I wasn't paying for it.

 

It worked well enough. I did almost flip it once trying to sail through a right turn. That was both fun and terrifying.

 

From what I remember it was creaky and rattled all over the place. The water pump went out at 85k and more or less everything followed soon after.

My first and so far only vehicle is a 1999 Chevrolet S-10 single cab short-bed. 4-spd. auto, 175 hp 4.3L VORTEC V6, two-tone Victory Red/Light Pewter, 158k on the odom, curb weight 3001 lbs. I've had to replace the AC compressor, the fuel pump, and a gas cap. Current issues include: malfunctioning oil pressure gauge, non-operational right taillight assembly, and a loose baffle in the muffler that occasionally makes an incredibly obnoxious buzz. The paint, especially on the hood, has seen better days. There's a little bit of rust and oxidation in and around a deep scratch right above the right-rear tire created by a sideswipe from a green Ford Ranger, and she has some minor hail damage from being left outside during a fucking tornado. Thirteen divots. Yes, I counted. I'm gonna have those popped out and her re-painted someday. She runs beautifully, but only gets 15-17 mpg.

Fun fact: one of the previous four owners was Jesus. No lie.

My first car is the one I'm still driving, a white 1998 Toyota Camry, one of the most common color/make/model combinations on the road.  All the same, I love my car, although a myriad of unexpected repairs has resulted in some unhappy blows to my savings account.  But that's the cost of owning a car, I suppose.

I still have my first car which is a 2000 Chrysler LHS. Great car to have as a first car. I get great mpg on it. I'm supposed to have 18 mpg but I'm getting 25 mpg and the car has never been on the highway since I've owned it. At 178k miles, it still runs and drives brand new. It's got a cassette/4-cd player along with the AM and FM radio, leather seats, heated seats which I've used one time to keep pizza warm (clever idea by the way since that's its only use in Florida), sunroof, and a 9 speaker audio system. Yes, the interior is filled with camo since I have an obsession of stuff being in camo.

I share my family's cars so it's hard for me to say which was my first. I passed my road test in a '93 Ford Escort and I used to drive a '97 Plymouth Grand Voyager before that car got totaled (not by me). I used to alternate between an '04 Chrysler Town & Country and an '89 Oldsmobile (still works!) before I inherited an '04 Dodge Stratus from my late grandfather. I've been using that ever since.
