@@Blitz Boom, Serenade hums to herself before giggling. "I left myself open for that one." She flips open the section of the book for this seasons skies, "Alright." Serenade stands up, and still wobbly on her feet stands in front of Ziggy and Fah'lina. "Night time flight navigation is a bit different from daytime. During the night you really can't see landmarks. So instead you orient yourself using the stars" She raises a hoof and points at the stars.

"The first thing you should always do is find the North Star. In a thousand years, it has never moved from that spot, ancient texts refer to it as the Selene Star, but gives no explanation."

Serenade spends the next few hours explaining the different constellations, referring back to the two books, the smaller one she refers to as the New General Catalogue of Nebulae and Clusters of Stars. The larger tome, is "far older. A First Edition Messier. My father got it for me as a graduation gift.". Eventually, in the middle of her description of a constellation, Serenade yawns, before blinking. "whoops"

Lin slowly but eagerly approached the bed; her pain had temporarily subsided though it might be because of a possibility of finding a cure to her condition providing some form of placebo effect. It was quickly broken by a sharp pain on her chest. She continued her way by limping, one claw grasping tightly to her chest. She didn't know how much longer she could keep up her energy before letting go. And she was scared of what could possibly happen when she did.

"I am ready," Lin said softly. "If ever I don't make it out of this, I'd only ask that my brother be spared from sharing my fate. He doesn't deserve it. And thank you."

Briar winced at the sounds around him. At first he had just been prepared to go with Syo and be done with this for the time being, but with Priestess mentioning the crystal spider from before... He could still recall what had happened the last time it had shown itself.

"Brittle, go over to Seamore and the trees. It will be safe there until I return."

"B-But... Y-You're coming back, right?"

Briar put a hoof on the head of Brittle and lightly ruffled her mane, as well as do what he could to make her sight of what would be above them limited.

"Most certainly. Now please, go over there, and remember that whatever happens, you're safe there. Nothing can hurt you."

"Yes I could."

Briar turned his head towards the taunting voice of Ashta and sneered at him, showing off his fangs and his displeasure of having him anywhere near them more and more clearly.

"Not if you value your ability to walk. That is, if the trees don't smack you away like the squishy bug you are first."

The temptation to carve into the plant rose once more for Ashta, but he kept it back. For now. Another time, he would get back for every little thing this maggot did or said, but for now, he could enjoy his small, hollow *victory*. In the end, he were still going to be a hide on his floor.

Meanwhile, Briar ignored him further and with one of his vines, gently pushed/lead Brittle towards Seamore and the trees, where she'd lay on the ground in a clear spot between them and look as Briar retracted his vines and faced Syo with an "I'm ready." whilst Ko kept his focus on the Subterrenean forces and weighted some what they were saying before making a reply of his own.

"Sounds like somepony Really needs his caffeine fix."

Some vendors would likely have taken some irritation with the minor outburst from Rapid, but this pony had been in the business of selling coffee for awhile now and he saw all sorts of testy folks in that line. The lack of having a good cup of joe aboard after waking up, or later int he day after work, could really make some ponies a bit short tempered, and if he let that get to him he would have run out of customers ages ago.

Besides, once they got their caffeine running through their system, they usually cheered up a lot and became more stable. Like this one likely would instead of going to highs and lows on a whim this easy.

Pouring up the cappuccino that was requested, the venor would hand it over with the grin still plastered on his face, going "That'll be 2 bits sparky." (price seemed low and fair at two bits. Adjust to one if it seems expensive. Not sure about the currency value)

@@Moonlit,

The time that went by were surprisingly enlightening for Ziggy. Not that she didn't think she'd learn things, that was a given, but the amount of stuff that she had no idea about before this was just amazing. Not all were going to stick, despite Serenade's good efforts to make her understand it, but some things were going to stay in the back of her head for sure. Especially about the North Star. Funny how she always just thought that the stars went up randomly each night.

As she were hearing about yet another constellation and looking at the old book that Serenade showed her - just looking from a glance, not touching it as it were a special gift from the sound of it and you didn't mess with that - Serenade showed something else: That she were getting tired. Seemed like not even she, who were doing this sort of stuff often at night from the sounds of it, could keep it going too long after all. Not that Ziggy were any better, as she were also yawning a few times now and again, and did so in response to Serenade's yawn too when it were, but Serenade sounded a little knackered too in her mind.

That, or her brain just needed some oxygen. Yawning didn't always have to mean you were tired after all.

"Getting tired? We've been out here for a while and it's almost getting... Well, early, so it wouldn't be surprising. Perhaps we should get you home again, and then look at more fun constellations another time?"

"T-The princess? She shouldn't be here I'd think. Should she? N-No, not when the others are already... No, she isn't supposed to be in this dream."

The slug started to halfway speak to himself and halfway answer Crescent, nervously going through the motion that seemed to say that he didn't expect Princess Luna to meet them. At least not in this dream, though not why, which seemed important as the way he spoke sounded like there was a particular reason for it.

Something that wondered the curious feline in their midst too, though not enough to dig into it further on his own. His best bet were that this dream were unnatural in some way and needed fixing, such as perhaps the dreamer were stuck and unable to wake up, though something told him that even if he aired that opinion he wasn't going to get an answer. Not that he wanted one frankly, as he might start to care and all, but if it were he likely would be stonewalled in some way.

What did interest him though, were the princess herself. She wasn't the one who were his old... Acquaintance, but indirectly she were still part of that one, and it made him curious as the tone of Crescent sounded like he wasn't in awe of meeting her. Something which might imply he had seen her before, though that'd be a neat trick since she were corrupted and trapped far as he knew.

Perhaps if he asked Crescent a few things, starting with that last part, he could get a bit more in tune with what were going on these days, and how long he had actually been away. Besides, it passed the time as they headed for the exit.

"Last I were around, the princess of the night was trapped in the moon. Have she gotten loose?"

@@EQ_Theta,

"Don't worry, you will both make it. Though, brace yourself child, for this will hurt."

Suddenly, the nearest of the three pillars opened vaguely glowing, pale eyes near the end headed towards the floor before large, leathery wings springs spread and gave away that this were not a pillar, but instead a creature that had stood ready. A creature that looked somewhat like the old legends in Equestria of Humans, though the large wings that started to glow in a pale light as the figure flapped and took to the sky before descending were very much not standard for that, and instead were one of the signs that pointed to this being more of an anthropomorphic bat than anything else. Also because she were about twice as high as a general human.

As she landed you could see more, like the long, flowing white hair that embraced her calm, welcome face, and the elegant dress made of bone and thick shadow that seemed to flow like a cloud of smoke as she moved beneath the winged arms, though she cared not for how she looked, but just for the creature that now came into her domain. The domain of Mother, and the shadowy ones such as the daughter that now looked longingly at her being.

She swiftly reached for Lin, and with pale-glowing claws passed her hand into the siblings shared body with nothing resisting it. As were evident when she started to draw threads along her fingers like she were controlling a spectral weave connected to Lin, she were working on another plane than the physical right now, so the body remained unharmed, though glittery strands of silky material poured out of her and gathered loosely next to Mother.

Now, the process were going to hurt both the siblings, and it would be somewhat lengthy as part of the flowing motions included patching some together that seemed frayed or torn apart, but eventually, there would be a ball of energy in which Lin resided, and the body that - whilst likely feeling very tired - would contain only Sen.

To finish off, Lin - who would be able to see the process as the ball, even thought he lack of limbs and such were likely uncomfortable - would see shades start to crawl of the walls and herself being made into threads again that were weaved in with the essence drawn in. It would feel strange, as the energy and shades would start to mingle and take form around the idea of the body that the energy had once been part of, but eventually, a version of Lin would be there, with a body feeling like she were used to, though with swaying hair and the color scheme of Omen.

It should likely still feel alien, as this were just life in a body and not a soul, but the pain and the leakage should have ended at least.

"Your energy needs time to settle before it can be returned, so enjoy the time you now have, where one is two again."

She looked a little tired as she said that and sat herself in thin air where the floor suddenly rose in shades to form a fitting seat beneath her, but she also looked happy to have done her part in saving a life, though she were not sure what were to be now that the one were two.

It were fortunate they had not been two souls mingled together, or this would have been... Complicated.

The feeling of being separated... one of freedom that entails responsibility. It is refreshing and welcomed. Lin didn't know whether or not she should be relishing this feeling or worried about what happens next. Indeed it is good Lin is now separated from Sen, the feeling of the constantly growing pain is gone but if such is truly the case, then her magic would likely be gone as well. This is the uncertainty but for the moment, she could be satisfied with the thought that her rash thinking would no longer mess things up.

She recognizes herself a fool and she accepted it. How her brother Sen would react to what transpired in his time spent unconscious was another matter entirely. For now, she needed a moment's reprieve.

"Thank you... Omen's mother." Lin calmly said. "Do you... have a name? I would like to thank you properly but I'm not sure if it is polite to ask you of yours. And what of the magic that I have? Is it gone?"

@@EQ_Theta,

"I did once, before this."

Mother waved a winged arm around to indicate everything around them, though If that included the things beyond the walls where a good question. A question that she wasn't answering at this point in time as Omen went closer to her where the larger creature extend her other clawed hand down to course through Omen's mane.

"Before my children."

The hand didn't pass through as it had with Sen, though the glow persisted whilst Omen... Looked happy. Not the usual neutral with little indicators of emotions, but serene and full of joy, with life dancing in the eyes fixated at her mothers loving visage. It was very different from what would have been seen thus far, but this was but one oddity amongst many.

"It have been a long time though, and I am no longer who I were back then. Now, I am what they call me. I am Mother, and by that name you can call me too, child of another world.

As to your other question, the answer is not as simple as that. Here, in this shape, the foulness have been cleansed from you, but this is just part of who you are. Wherever your real body and soul lies, the darkness will continue to seep into it, corrupting and devouring til nothing is left. Such is the curse of sacrificial magic, and it is not a curse you get rid of easy. However..."

Mother changed her view to the siblings, with Lin in particular, whilst rising from her seat and taking Omen up in her arms when it were, still running her claws through her mane, gently across her face and so forth.

"Every world haves a time when the magic reached its peak. Some call it twilight, others Krx'thiiiiif, or hundreds of other variations, depending on the one who speaks. If you can find a place of pure magic on the very hour and crush the foul thing it courses through, it should be drawn out and demolished by the pure essences who will not tolerate such impurity. I cannot imagine it will be an easy spot and time to find, but it must be done, for if you leave it be as it is now... It will eventually leave nothing but an empty husk."

She looked sad as she said the last part, feeling for this little creature and what a burden she now carried. Even if she had likely put this upon herself, it did not mean that she should suffer from it, especially not as she likely did not know how bad it could become. Often, creatures who used this blend of magic didn't until it were too late.

"There is power to be found other ways, and if you still desire the power to do something, you can search for those. Perhaps amongst the pure magic you will need to find as is, I don't know. World have fickle magic with many variants, and though some things are the same, others will always vary widely.

Now, I wish to ask you something, as well as the child who I presume are the brother you spoke of? What names do you wander by, and what drew you to think you had to reside to magic that have been made to cause nothing but misery?"

I never found out what happened, just heard some days after that a day of sorrow were begun to mark his death the day before when I had tried in vain to return to Canterlot, only to almost be trapped by spells. I never even got to visit my owners funeral..."

The hairs on the feline started to raise and a sickening feeling of seething rage would begin to radiate around him briefly before he calmed down a little again.

"The anger I felt then will never end before I get answers to why she feared me around, and how Star Swirl died as I do not believe the lies that he went of old age. @@Moonlit,

"Hehe, no problem. Just try to keep the glasses on for now, okay?"

Ziggy waved goodbye to the seventh that had asked her for help today with something whilst she waited for Serenade to wake up. She had spent some time now and again checking, but she really did seem like an evening and night type of creature considering how long she were napping, so she had to supplement her time with something else. Which had turned out to be doing some basic doctor work around town.

It started as her just helping a pony who turned out were dealing with an ear infection that had considered going to a doctor, but had been stubborn. After helping him out, he had told a few others it seemed, and during the next several hours she now and again had somepony over who needed a bit of help. Something she were more than happy to do, even if there were a hospital nearby she had to send some towards as they looked a bit... Well, to put it another way, she didn't have the tools of the trade with her to help them much beyond getting them there safely.

Fah'lina had also enjoyed the attention after a bit. At first she had shied away from getting too close, but eventually the little rascal had found out that if she played her cards right with most ponies that came over and asked about her, they gave her snacks, and she wasn't saying no to easy food. Ziggy had thought about saying something about the manipulative little thing that'd set her in a bad light a few of the times, like what she really looked like beneath the cute exterior, but she didn't have the heart. Not when she were enjoying herself that much.

As could be heard by the small burp from her as they walked back top check on Serenade though, it was perhaps getting a little out of hoof, though she giggled from it nonetheless. Something that wasn't followed by sharp claws or teeth this time, so things were improving rapidly. Perhaps at this rate, in a weeks time, she could begin to put small outfits in Fah'lina?

Another giggle came from her as she reached the door and poked her head in, thinking that she would pretty much be asking to be bitten at that point.

"Hello? Anypony awake yet?"

Mother looked Lin over with sadness in her eyes as her tale went along.

"Vengeance is a feeling that fuels great determination, but it gets misguided and rots the path, making you see only the goal and overlooking what could happen between. It leads to all suffering, as you did before.

I wouldn't wish for you to keep this anger in you forever Lin, even if you cannot forgive the betrayal you must have felt from your own kin turning their backs on you. Though you might not be able to now, believe me when I say that at some point, you will have to move past it or you could end up loosing everything..."

Her voice carried a tone at the end that suggested that she knew what she were talking about, and the look she sent towards the smiling and giggling Omen in her lap showed a few things as well. Though whatever or not anypony would take notice was a question.

"Besides, you have your brother here now. Surely he would want you not using your life solely to seek vengeance, but also to live it? Family should not wish to wander down a path of endless strife, or what do you thin, Sen?"

This time she addressed Sen directly, who had thus far been silent. He might be somewhat drained - literally - but he and Lin were in two forms now. They had a mouth each and could both speak. If he wished to, he could say things as much as his sister could, and though she could give warning upon warning, the words of family meant more than anything, and she'd likely need to hear what he had to say.

Hopefully, his words would carry wisdom that she could use with them.

Sen remained quiet for the time being but he thought about everything Lin said. There was a time for anger but that moment had long passed him. To remember why he was angry touched a nerve but the long journey away from home taught him to stifle an unthinking action. This was different but sometimes, being tough was enough to show concern.

"I'm disappointed in her. If I had it any other way, I wouldn't even want to look at her or have anything to do with her after what happened." Sen replied angrily. Lin looked at her brother, full of remorse but wished to say nothing to him. She knew well enough to leave it at that.

"I still believed there was a chance at compromise with the clan when I sought to bring her home but with the way she acted, it removed that chance. I doubt we'd be welcome back at all. Still, she's all I have left of the old life; I may not find it in my heart to forgive her now but I can't turn her away either. I promised myself I wouldn't stop until I found her and now that I have, it is something I should be satisfied with. If I did, I would've become her and lose what she wanted to find."

Lin glanced toward her brother who had just finished saying his piece. The anger in his voice faded and her sorrow was uplifted.

"You're right. There's no point in pursuing this vengeance-filled quest anymore. I found you in a state worse than mine and somehow, I think you came out of it better than me." Lin muttered under her breath and turned to Omen's mother; perhaps she might have more to say but she undoubtedly knew she couldn't possibly repay her for her generosity.

Butterfly sat down in a meadow just outside of the everfree forest. It was her reading session with Crystal ball and considering no monster wanted to attack a changeling they stayed well away from them. It was also the only place she felt truly comfortable considering she could be in her changeling form and no pony would be suspicious and if she was in her pony form then she could walk up and talk to any pony and they would be fine. Crystal Ball approached the meadow, depending on her other senses to guide her as her future vision wasn't working to help her though. Butterfly smiled and waved but quickly remembered that she couldn't see that so awkwardly put her hoof down. "I got one of my favourite books for reading, its called 'Beauty and the draconequus' I love the title even though it is very hard to pronounce" Butterfly looked down at the book and smiled. Crystal Ball sat down next to Butterfly before smiling warmly "What? do you expect the blind filly to read it?" Crystal asked sarcastically before she heard the book open and Butterfly start to read.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________
"Lots of strange things have been going on lately. Very strange things but I haven't seen them and don't really understand them. I heard about them from some of the school ponies" Crystal ball said as Butterfly finished her second book. Butterfly nodded and looked into the air, some of the breeze going though the multiple holes in her body.

@@Blitz Boom Cyan Flare stated in awe and terror at the dome which had now formed around the town. "This isn't right..." she said quietly to herself. "This cannot be natural!" She had never seen anything like this, considering she often volunteered to help with the weather when she visited Cloudsdale. Something most definitely was afoot. She couldn't take her golden eyes off of the violent swirling winds enveloping Ponyville, as she attempted to figure out what - or maybe who? - was causing the phenomenon. "What should we do?" Cyan Flare cried. "Take shelter?" Her first instinct was to rush and hide, but she knew that in a situation that likely wouldn't help. "What could be causing this...?"

@@Wolves,

What could be causing this? Well, he'd go out on a limb here and say that it was likely something Very bad! It was a dome of rushing winds around Ponyville that likely kept a god... What, 40+ ponies trapped inside? Could be more depending on the population going on at the part of town at the time, but... Wait, why was he thinking about this again? It didn't matter.

"I think we should start by praising our lucky star that it didn't happen when we were around, then hope that whoever is in there can handle it. For all intents and purposes, it looks like whoever's at least just trapping them. Otherwise, the winds wouldn't hold back from destroying the houses.

Though... Might be it ain't the citizens being trapped. Seen wind manipulation by unicorns before, even if not this strong. Could be a group of those keeping something on lock down that snuck in?

Regardless of there being something trapped or trapping though, I think getting near it is a bad idea. Even if the winds ain't gonna toss us to the wrong side of Canterlot, there can't be anything good happening in there. I'd say we stay here, or find a safe place to wait it out."

This town, for all it's small upsides, were starting to loose shine really fast when something like this happened. Especially if it were unicorns that did this. no town was worth getting in battle with that had anypony capable of doing something like this.

@@Minty_The_Sweet,

"Nonononon-"

The words were said hectically before something would fall from the sky, hit a tree near the pair and fall down like a sack of potatoes. From the angle, it seemed as if something had tossed the thing with either enough force or spin so that the large wings didn't help getting back in control before it was far too late.

It were curious whatever any of them had heard of a creature like this before though. Even if they were well enough known, Griffins were still not a common sight around Ponyville, and this one seemed a bit more... Colourful than the usual ones told about too.

Her feathers where white, with grey spots here and there, mainly on her wings. Her beak and talons were the usual yellow and her tail were of long feathers in a rainbow-coloured pattern. She wore armour here and there made to fit in with the otherwise non-fitting tail feathers, and as it had looked, the light armour likely had just done a good job protecting her from any real damage beyond being knocked out for a bit on the tree.

Still, what were you going to do with what looked like a young griffin in adventuring gear that had likely just gotten launched and were now lights out? Likely shouldn't be a familiar situation.

Stargazer landed next to the convenient little table that had been set up, but kept his cup of strong coffee in his grip. Until the cup were done, or something went wrong, he were not going to let go of this fountain of energy.

"A coffee drinker yourself I see. What kind do you go with? I tend to just go with a strong blend, nothing added. Unless it's a bad day and they have espresso."

He took another gulp of his cup and thought about the luck once more that this town even had a coffee stand. Bigger ones usually had several, but Ponyville was a small town in farm land. What could be found there tended to be the essential stores, but not more specific ones such as this, which had been something he had been begrudgingly thinking about as he moved here considering how often he tended to need his caffeine. Thank the night that somepony had found this niche and rolled with it after all though.

@@EQ_Theta,

A glowing, sparkly tear ran down Mother's face as she looked with warmth in her eyes at the two siblings after hearing their responses to one another. Especially Sen's made her filled with joy to hear, as this were the sense of family that she had hoped that would show. Not promises of *everything is fine* or tossing it aside, but trying to get back together, no matter the time it might take.

"To see two that have gone through pains I cannot fathom in their entirety, and that still feels anger, want to work through things together warms my heart. Not many families I know of would be able to see past things with such ease."

She rose a claw and wiped the tear from her face before looking down on Omen in her arms, who looked at her with a mixture of longing like a cat that didn't understand why you stopped petting it, and the neutrality that usually went over her that were starting to come back.

"Omen, I have things I would wish to speak with both you and your friends about, but I hear that your sister, Krth'xlle, have been looking for you around the seventh pillar, wishing to show you something she have found. Perhaps you could go see what that were about so she did not wander here in vain? I can care for your friends whilst you are gone., if that is okay?"

As she was being put gently down on the floor like she was made of brittle porcelain, Omen looked at both Sen and Lin for a while, now almost back to the expression she usually held, before looking back at Mother and nodding. Though the bat in question did turn to face the others herself with a warm smile still plastered well over her face. It seemed that perhaps she would wait and see what they, as well as Omen, thought about things before it went too far and they were simply here with her.Should hopefully not present challenges.

Ziggy walked in and carefully closed the door behind her whilst Fah'lina flew up and placed herself on a high place where she could look the two of them over.

"If you have some tea that'd be nice, but otherwise I'm good. Fah'lina is too. The little thing have learned how to trick snacks out of curious ponies and have used it to get quite a little feast today. You should really have seen it, it was adorable."

Thankfully, things hadn't gone beyond that, though she were pretty sure that all it had taken were for one foal to grab her tail and things could've turned ugly. Very few creatures that liked to be pulled by the tail like that.

"Just been writing letters or have stranger things gone on since last I checked if you were awake?"

"Are you two completely out of your mind? We're being attacked by all sorts of strange creatures, and you're talking in the middle of the street? You have to get to shelter before this becomes worse."

The panicky voice came from a pony that popped his head out of a nearby barrel, looking like he were expecting the very worst and nothing less. Which essentially were the truth for him, as really didn't know what he was going to do right now that there were giant hippos and cat snakes and strange things drawn out of thin air whilst they were kept trapped.

This pony hadn't been in town for the last few major occurrences, and didn't know how ponies usually responded in these sort of situations and whatever or not the local princess would be able to help them. What he Did know however, were that it could in no way be safe to just stand around and talk when this went on. These other ponies had to find someplace to cover too, and fast.

But then he stopped and looked around.

Somehow, he never noticed he was in Ponyville. It's like suddenly he was teleported there. Is he loosing his mind or what?

Anyways, the point still stands.

"This is not the weirdest thing I've seen so far," Lonk said to the barrel-dweller. "I think I can handle this myself."

He chuckles again at the situation.

Butterfly squeaked before quickly changing into her pony form hurriedly. Crystal Ball heard the crash and a vision of the griffon before her flashed in her mind. The griffon was quite pretty and Crystal Ball was in awe at the Griffon, who in her vision had gotten up and rubbed it's head. Not all of Crystal Ball's visions showed world changing futures some were even just of her getting up out of bed for school.

'U-um a-are you o-ok?' Butterfly asked the griffon as she cautiously crept towards the unconscious griffon. When no reply came Butterfly sighed and poked it, not exactly knowing what would be normal in this situation.

Quill too was hit when The Forgotten One flung its arm at him and Quinch. He was knocked aside like a rag doll, hitting the ground hard and sliding across the ground, his tail landing on the unconscious Vivid's face. Now he was out cold as well.

Penny quickly scooped up the chocolate frog and ran directly away from The Forgotten One, who she could now see. She was definitely too close to be able to fight the thing effectively.

As Zhu pumped his venom into the creature's arm, it could be seen spreading through the invisible creature's veins until it reached the wound that was still visible between Zhu and Sisilia. As the two venoms converged, they turned to bright, pure white and glowed with the intensity of the sun, but only for a moment before fading away and being absorbed back into the wound. Immediately the wound began to bleed more severely as the creature screamed out in pain, this time loud enough that he could be head by all, despite being on a different plane. The Forgotten One then grabs the young Serpanthera, pulls her off his arm, along with a sizable chunk of flesh as she had dug her claws and fangs deep, and throws her with great force. The Traveler sees her flying through the air and spreads his massive wing, catching her safely before she could hit the wind barrier.

Sylar, having moved a distance away to dodge Penny, begins running toward the beast again, swords drawn, attempting to strike once more.
