What I need:

 

  1. People to do singing voices for the following characters: Tirek, Sombra, Discord, Chrysalis, and Nightmare Moon. 
  2. Someone who can write suitable music for this. Perhaps you can alter the actual instrumental version or create your own. The original one just doesn't work with the song. I think an altered version would be best, though.
  3. Someone who can design the cover art for this.  

 

 

 

What My Villain Role is Telling Me

 

[Tirek]
I hate these Crystal Ponies, they're wanting to be free
They talk about this Crystal Fair and how fun it would be
I wish they would surrender, and no one would get free

I try creating chaos, turn Equestria upside-down

I don't care much for feeding bugs, and stealing love is not so great

The time on the moon was dull, I've gotten very bored
I have to make the nighttime last, It's what ponies abore 
I do not like this job I don't want it any more

I am all for stealing magic, but I don't like this prison
Cerberus is guarding me making sure that I don't run
I have to keep on trying, for everyone can see

If you are interested, do the following steps:
 
For singing:
  1. Record yourself singing each verse. Make sure you keep the same tempo as the original song "What my Cutie Mark is Telling Me."
  2. If you need to, alter your voice so it fits the character.
  3. Send me the recording, the character you are voicing as, and what you want your name to appear as on the credits. 

For creating music:

 

  1. If you changed the tempo of the song, specify how much you changed it in percentages. If you increased the tempo, give a positive number. If you decreased the tempo, give a negative number. 
  2. Send me the recording and what you want your name to appear as on the credits. 

For cover art:

 

  1. Make sure the cover art is in a high resolution, but not too high. If you have to make it too large, it's OK. Just don't make the file so small that it will be pixilated when it covers a full screen of an average computer. 
  2. Send me the picture and what you want your name to appear as on the credits. 

 

I need the files to be sent to me in a way I can download them. Please make sure to scan each file before sending them to me. 

 

Send everything to me via messenger. 

 

If putting the files together proves difficult, I may need help. I don't know if I need help or not, though.

1. For Tirek, do you want the weakened version or the powered up version?

2. You said you want it sent by messenger, do you mean like from Skype or by e-mail? Would it be OK to upload files here?

3. What files can you download to your computer?

4. When's the deadline?

I see you took my advice. ;) As a singer, this is something I like to take part in. A few questions though...

1. I prefer the powered up version. 

2. I am talking about the messenger on here

3. mp3 is all I know of. I have Window's Vista 32 bit. I will also use audacity. Files that work for Windows Vita and can be opened with audacity should work. 

4. The deadline November 1. If that is too early, tell me.

Oh, do you want Cadence/Chrysalis? Or when she's transformed into her original form? (If she changed voices. I really need to rewatch it)

There's one thing that I noticed in the lyrics (it'll be the one underlined)...

Can you please record it with the ending, too? I mean not just Discord's verse, but the other times he would sing?

Also, please send all auditions to me via messaging. Posting them here may make me not see them. I don't get notifications when someone posts here. They should make it like that, though. 

Two things, one, the way the names are setup on the lyrics looks wrong, the lyrics for like Tirek for example are all the way at the bottom, but his name is at the top, while I can understand by the context which is which, it's still a bit inconvenient.

 

Also, if you want to get notifications when people post in this thread, simply go to the top of the topic and look for the "Follow this Topic" button, and you should get notifications when people reply.

 

if it isn't working you'll have to go into your notification settings and change those so that you get notifications when people post in threads you follow.

 

Anyways, I enjoy singing, and I'd love to try out for this, but unfortunately between being a closet brony, and a bit shy when it comes to singing when my family is home, I don't know when/if i'll ever get a chance to record any auditions. Unfortunately my schedule as far as when I can actually record is pretty random, and scattered, I hardly know when my family will all be gone for long enough that I can really sing. 

 

So I wouldn't garentee I'll end up trying out, but if I get some extra free time I may take a crack at some of this. But just keep in mind that the time I have to record anything is pretty limited unfortunately.

Can you tell others about this at least? I need more auditions. I only have two so far, and both are for singing. I still need a cover photo, more singers, and background music.

One was singing it in her softer tone, like she used for the reprise of This Day, and a straight singing of her more evil voice (minus the effects, as my recorder won't let me add that, and I would have to layer it to add that echoey sound she has), and then the last one is more acting in the song.)

I like the second one. If you do make it, do you want me to add the echos if it doesn't interfere with the tempo?

The auditions date has changed. The due date now is January 1. If that is too early, tell me.

 

 

I still need:

 

Someone to draw the characters. (I would, but I am not great at drawing villains, and the quality will not be as great.)

 

Someone to make the background voices. 

 

Voices for Nightmare Moon and Tirek.
