Why is Twilight Sparkle considered a "troll"?

I am yet to hear anyone seriously say that Twilight is a troll, I have heard certain characters most notably Celestia jokingly depicted as trolls (Trollestia anyone?) so depictions of Twilight as a troll are probably also intended as jokes.

I think Twilight could use her nerdy wisdom to be a pretty good troll if she wanted to be, but I've never really noticed her being one as far as the show is involved.

It's an inside joke between Tara Strong and the bronies. Usually, Tara affectionately makes fun of bronies on her Twitter by posting some of the more controversial stuff in the series. That is how the Twilightlicious meme came into existence, although I believe it started out as Taralicious instead.
