Anyway, I just don't want to build my own PC because I am worried i might mess it up.

A lot of people say that, but a Youtube search would show that it's kinda hard to mess up building a PC.

And as far as "balancing" FPSs for keyboard 'n mouse users vs. gamepad users is impossible.

I plan on doing massive upgrades when I get to Germany, but this PC is going to more or less just be my secondary machine for gaming. My main computer is going to be a mac.

Has someone of you the 1080 or 1070 and how is it working? Just curious.

Japan, where Yo-Kai Watch's second movie has more success than The Force Awakens :umad:

MACS ARE TRASH!!!

Did I do it right?

At least we got it out of the way.

So long as you're not gaming on them though, macs are fine.

So... everypony here excited for the Skyrim remastering? Us PC users get it free if we have Legendary Edition or the DLC individually purchased. I simply can't wait to enjoy shouting at dragons in 2K textures (as my PC isn't 4K ready).

The RX 480 hits the shelves today. :D

Still can't believe it's only $200...

The only thing I need to see now is the consumer reviews to find out if it's really legit, or if AMD cut serious corners to get that price.

@@Vulon Bii,What the hell?

Oh, yeah, if anyone cares, Newegg has an MSI GTX 980 ti on sale for $430($399 after mail in rebate), a 240GB Intel SSD for only $75, and a 500GB Samsung SSD for $150. The sale ends soon, so a good time to get some great PC parts at some great prices.

I'm sure some of you have heard about this, but the GTX 1060, "the power of a 980 for every gamer", starting at $250, with the Founders Edition starting at $300 obviously aiming it squarely at the RX 480 and everyone's wallet since Nvidia is really gouging the customer this time around. It'll feature 6 GB of GDDR5 VRAM, and a 120W TDP (same as the 960)

Note that compared to the 1080 or 1070 Founders Edition, (not sure which is pictured here) the overall card length is quite a lot shorter and has an 6-pin connector rather than an 8-pin. Also note the absence of SLI tabs on the board. Not that they're ditching them for having SLI through the motherboard, like what AMD does with Crossfire, but to be real, most people who would buy a GTX 1060 or an RX 480 are unlikely to purchase a 2nd card.

EDIT: This post was also my 1080th post. Fitting that I was talking about Nvidia. :P

Vulkan patch was released for Doom a couple days ago. I updated, and I noticed huge jumps in frame rates  ^_^

Same here, 60+ fps at 1600p now. Here's hoping more support for the API in the near future.

For those (like me) who wants Linux to rise to prominence among PC gamers, we need Vulkan to succeed.

Running at 1080p, and I have everything maxed, even Anti Aliasing, and my framerate stays above 100+, and only dips to around 80 or so in areas with a lot happening.

Plz, you're dreaming </3

Seriously though I really hope a lot of the upcoming big titles (Battlefield 1/For Honour/so on so forth) support it, there have been performance increases across the board for pretty much everyone, albeit those using AMD have had a bigger increase (usually like 40% or so which is insane) than those using good ol Nvidia.

Truly badass specs. I wish all of their reference cards came in black.

Here's what Luke from LinusTechTips said in the thread on the PCMR subreddit about this:

I wish Nvidia would focus on their stock issues instead of slamming new product announcements out faster than we can breathe..

1060 was JUST announced..

He's right. Anyone who has a 1070 or a 1080 right now probably paid well over MSRP for it. I've just recently ordered a 1070, (MSI Gaming X to be specific) and it took me forever to find one that was actually in stock wasn't at a stupid $550 or more.
