Favorite Song that came out before 2005?

Choose a favorite song that came out before 2005.

It can be a nostalgic childhood song. (Which I have PLENTY of, I swear it would cover up plenty of pagers if I were to list them all.)
Or it could be a song you recently got into, but it has to be from before 2005.

I guess I'll start.

(My Childhood Song Number 1! :D)

I think I would have to go with this one.

Anything from the 80s and 90s is beyond awesomeness.

This is why most music these days isn't very good, all of the good songs have already been written.

Nearly every song I like is before 2005, many of them being a few hundred years before then. I can't single out one favorite because there are just way too many to choose from but I will choose one of my top favorites being a classic by Bach.

It would be a lot easier for me to pick a favorite song after 2005, considering most of my music is from the 80's and 90's. But this is always a good one.

A better question for me would be asking what my favorite song would be from after 2005 as I am strange and mostly enjoy listening to music twenty plus years before I was born. (1978 and before)

But my favorite 'childhood' (teen years) song would probably be 3 Doors Down's "Here Without You".

The memories, that was my favorite song a decade ago! ^_^ Still love it, but not quite as much.

It's very hard to even narrow down there, narrowing down 60s/70s and before music is extremely hard for me. D:

Strong contenders would be:

(for that beautifully amazing early music-inspired folk sound. That intro, too... And my instrument, the bassoon, is featured, too!)

But I say that all rather spontaneously, my music tastes change a lot. Those are at least consistent loved songs for me. lol

Seriously though, most of my favorites (like some Pink Floyd, Beatles, Elle Fitzgerald, on and on ... predate even the 80's). However, being a teen of the 90's ... Amazing time period for just about every genre.

Why this gem of a song that is almost as old as I am. It may not be the best song from the mid 90s, but it holds alot of sentimental value.

Oh, this one. Used to sing it all the time

It's funny, because 'A Thousand Miles' is one of those songs on my Childhood memories list.
