How I may have inspired Five Nights at Freddy's

When I was 9 years old. I went to a ''holiday park'' operated by a company called Haven. I Remember hugging a character called Anxious the elephant and her tusk hit me in the head. I was OK, but I reckon Scott Cawthon was on a foreign holiday and saw me getting hit by the tusk and he has an eidetic memory so realized that incident for inspiration of the Bite of 87. There were other characters, Rory the tiger was the ringleader(Like Freddy), Anxious would be Foxy, Greedy the Gorilla would be Chica(Except he was scottish and was obsessed over bananas). Then there is Ned and Polly, and I think Ned, along with Pepino the Troublemaker studios(who make Spy Kids) mascot, the Penguin from Batman, and Slappy from Dead Rising 2 are the inspiration for that balloon animatronic you see in the game area in FNAF 2. There was also Bradley the Bear, who resembles Freddy a little. Here is a picture credited to Deviantartist Floppy-Doggie(Special use for this thread). Of the Haven Characters.

Ned is the fourth from left, Rory is the first from left, Bradley is third, and you can guess the rest.

This place is one of my memories of my Childhood. There was a Daytona USA machine, a Sega Rally 2 machine, a Time Crisis 3 machine, a Sega Nascar Racing machine, and an Ocean Hunter machine. It was pretty much one of the centers of my childhood.

I'm guessing you're from the UK then? I remember going to one of those resorts near Scotland when I was little.

Although I honestly doubt Scott based the game on your story, it's still a bit of a funny coincidence X)

I'm pretty sure that the game was influenced by the animatronics at Chuck E. Cheese's. Kinda glad the restaurant chain is nowhere to be found over here, they look even more terrifying than the FNAF gang!

Tell this story in a youtube vid.

AND THEN go find the maker of FNAF, and talk to him.

He's probably a pretty cool guy.

Tried to, but it's an auto email that says that he is ''not open for interviews or voice actor jobs or anything like that'' I'm guessing he wants to keep FNAF2 a surprise. And forgot to say, the Haven characters are not animatronics, they are people in costumes. But I have a massive fear of mascots unless they are sports mascots or furries. And I also trust people in Motorsport or Motorcycle or Firefighting, Police and Military suits. I recently had a nightmare about FNAF where Foxy and Freddy were trying to kill me, the torrented jumpscare myth also happened in this dream. As when I closed the game in the dream I got a jumpscare from Freddy. It was in this bowling alley type area, and Foxy was trying to kill me. Also, my dad is an aeromodeller so he has a lot of knowledge about servos. Just saying that model aircraft are technically animatronics. Not to mention the robots from Robot Wars. Freddy's gang for house robots!!! I'm just kidding LOL  . Dad says that Servos don't lock up. They loosen. So if the Pizzeria are keeping the robots on free roam mode. They're doing it to prevent them getting worse. But they just already made things worse. Also, little theory, in FNAF2. The reason why the Animatronics are decaying is because they're servos locked up or loosened. The only Animatronics I really encountered was the Talking Tree in winter wonderland, functioning Buckbeak model at the Harry Potter Studio Tour, Talking Moose head in germany, and my late grandad's fish plaque that sung ''Don't worry, be happy''.

Also, I have told the story in the Game Theory FNAF youtube vid. Have not got a comment yet.

Maybe so, but I doubt you can claim royalties...

Oh, yeah, and that means I can blame you for my nightmares... thanks dude! :P

I Would not be able to unless I was an employee of Scott and told him the entire story. And LOL  . I Can be blamed for your Nightmares. My dad may not be an expert on Animatronics, but he is an expert on Aeromodelling and Aircraft which both require Servos.

Technically, even if that were true, you couldn't claim royalties because the FNAF characters are different enough.

Plus, it's not as if the whole "evil/creepy animatronic" idea is particularly new, I doubt any one person could claim it as their idea.

Just look at Invader Zim's "Bloatie's Pizza Hog" mascots - terrifying!

Happy minion of The Fabulous One!

If he was the one with the IP Rights. Then he is the one who owns it, not me. I did not create it. But I reckon he saw me on holiday getting hit by the tusk and later thought. ''BITE OF 87!!!''.

MY GRANDFATHER HAD ONE OF THOSE.

SINGING FISH.

PRESS A BLACK BUTTON BENEATH THE TROUT OR SOMETHING, WHICH IS MOUNTED ON AN OVAL WOODEN BLOCK IN WHICH ELECTRONICS ARE HIDDEN.

AND IT TURNS ITS HEAD TO YOU AND SINGS DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY.

I LOVED THAT THING.

Well, in America at least, it's hard to prove to the satisfaction of a court that somebody else has used your IP unless they're using the same stuff with the same names. If I made a frosted flake cereal and used a tiger as the mascot, but he looked a bit different from Tony Tiger and was named Chris, Kellog couldn't do anything to me. I mean, they could sue me, but I'd probably win in court.

That's Outrageous!!! Is this why all the songs these days are similar? Because of America IP Rights? It's like making a game called ''The Adventures of Porcupine Jones''(Which I got from a reading comprehension sheet, BTW) and Sega cannot sue because America's IP Rights are different. Or a game called Shout of Responsibility and Activision cannot file a complaint that it copied the title of Call of Duty. One of my friends(or merely acquaintances) says that I cannot copy her's or she will kill me(Probably Joking). Saying ''Unless you want a knife in the eye''. Or ''Unless you want your intestines ripped out and devoured by the cult''. IP is very important but if one of the largest countries in the world cannot sort it, then it is a massive problem. Sorry for going off topic BTW.

Technically, even if that were true, you couldn't claim royalties because the FNAF characters are different enough.

And besides. Why would a Holiday Park or real pizzeria want to sue an Indie game developer?

Yes they were the memories of my Childhood. Oh man. I actually miss my grandparents, and the garage my father used to work at which they owned. My aunt(who is like Rarity) still lives in their town. Which has a nearby Air Force Base.
