I played Rugrats Studio Tour when I was a kid, and omg... I was literally OBSESSED with that game. That game was literally my entire childhood! There's other games, but I can't really remember what they were. :/

Halo the ORIGINAL. Crash Bandicoot.. All of them! Mario, all kinds of games including Mario & Co.. Spyro. Especially loved Super Smash Bros on Nintendo though. Nowadays I prefer the newest on Wii better.

Dead or Alive was also a thing I grew up with playing, as well as SSX 3 and all kinds of other games.. Games are love.

Well, I just made a list of this for another topic here. Includes the various stages of childhood since to me childhood extends up to 18 lol:

Early childhood:

NES games like Mega Man 2. (Don't really remember them much)

Mid Childhood:

Primarily Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, a little later, Mario Kart 64.

Late Childhood:

Pokemon R/B/Y and Pokemon G/S/C

Super Smash Bros.

Paper Mario

Kirby 64

Early Teens:

Super Smash Bros. Melee

Animal Crossing

The Legend of Zelda: OOT and MM

Mid to Late Teens:

The Sims 2

Kingdom Hearts II

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

I think that's all... (Psh... Talking as if I haven't made this post too long and detailed already. Sorry. >.<)

Perhaps somewhat ironically, I have the most nostalgia for the last two games.

I mostly played a lot of Mario games, which included the adventure, party, and sports games :P. A few sonic games, and smash bros was always fun :).

So many... Super Mario Land 2 was my first, but one of my favourites was Lego Racers 2 on PC - I still sometimes play the original Lego Racers, it's a fantastic racing game!
Other than that I had Pokémon (of course) and a couple of other GBA games which I never completed.

Gonna show my age here, but I was an NES freak.  Super Mario Bros 1-3, Double Dragon, Mike Tyson's Punch Out, Mega Man 2, Contra, Zelda, Ninja Gaiden, Dragon Warrior (aka Dragon Quest I)... man, those were the days.

And holy shit were games hard back then.  I challenge any modern gamer to get even past the first level of Ghosts and Goblins.

Past the first level is the farthest I've ever gotten in that. xD  In the 16-bit follow-up, Super Ghouls n' Ghosts, I've gotten all the way through the game once and then NEARLY to the real, final boss - with the Goddess Bracelet thing - on the second go around.  Still haven't actually beaten it, though. :/

I grew up on Nintendo; NES, GameBoy, and SNES.  Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt was the first video game I played.  Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, SMB 1, USA, and 3, Strider, Solar Jetman, Yo Noid! xD , Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers xDD , Contra, Skate or Die, Gyruss, Yoshi, SML2: 6 Golden Coins, Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters, TLoZ: Link's Awakening, Metroid II: The Return of Samus, Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge, Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, TLoZ: A Link to the Past, Super R-Type, Secret of Evermore, Wanderers from YS III, FF IV and VI, a merciful "etcetera." x3

A lot of great games there.  While I wouldn't say they're "better" than modern games, it really was a different experience. Usually no saves (unless the game had a battery backup), sometimes no continues even, three lives, and cheap-ass deaths from annoying enemies- you'll be at full strength and then some bat or something will knock you backwards into an instant death pit.

And yet we kept on coming back for more. :)

OH YES.  Old school gamers know that bats are the bane of any beefy, slow-moving vampire hunter's existence in older Castlevania games. xD  Well, aside from Fleamen and Medusa Heads. -_-

And I continue to go back for more. xD  I masochistically played through Ninja Gaiden (NES) for the second time in my life; cursing fairly often in the final act lol.  And I recently bought cartridge copies of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Bayou Billy.  I still can't get anywhere in the latter. :/

I played Super Star Wars on the SNES on the "Jedi" level not long ago and shortly afterwards questioned my sanity for doing that.

Never actually played Bayou Billy as a kid but of course I know about that game's reputation.  Seems like a game that was cool in concept (fighting, driving, and light gun game all in one!) but poorly executed.

Hi @gaysnowfurry.  I merged your topic with one from a few days ago which was essentially the same thing. When starting a new thread, please do a search to make sure a similar item doesn't already exist. Thanks! :)

Oh, I had an Atari 2600 and later a Commodore 64 (yes, it's a computer but all I ever used it for was game play) and my friends had an Intellivision and ColecoVision I could play on.  As far as specific cartridges go, I think I played Ms. Pac-Man and Donkey Kong the most. They all had clunky graphics and rarely more than a few screens. Those were the days. :D

I grew up with Pokemon and Zelda, two franchises I've followed from when I was a little kid, but before I REALLY got into gaming, the first the sonic games took up most of my free time as a kid. To this day I'm still a sonic fan, I just can't let go of all the good memories I had of Sonic. It was just those three for a while until I got into The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, Final Fantasy and Tales of Symphonia around 13 and 15. Final Fantasy may not be up there any more for me, (I still liked 13 despite the hate it gets. I really need to look up the sequels.) but the other 5 make up pretty much my entire library of games. And I know more will always come out, but I really hope Sonic games keep getting put out. Poor guy.

P.S. How could I forget Kingdom Hearts! Somewhere between 13 and 15 I played that game and I also own every game in that series. Except for Birth by Sleep. Stupid psp.

Cheria (right) is a small town girl who was afflicted with a terrible sickness when she was very young. Meeting Sophie changed that however. She recovered almost instantly from her illness due to Sophie's magic and gained an undeniable talent with her own, and what does she do with this magic? She acts as a healer for her small town and helps the militia keep the hostile border safe. Seven years later, she's started a nation-wide relief organization after her adventure with Sophie and Friends, a great connection to the element of generosity.
