Any Railroad Bronies?

Yes! I like almost anything railway related. Trains, metros, monorails, light rails, and streetcars. It's still cool.

I have ridden:

- BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit), San Francisco Bay Area

- San Francisco Cable Car

- MUNI Streetcar (My least favorite so far)

- Disneyland Monorail

- Walt Disney World Monorail

- Las Vegas Monorail

- Seattle Monorail

- Sound Transit, Seattle

- Portland Streetcar

- MAX Light Rail, Portland

- London Underground (My favorite so far)

- London Overground

- Paris Metro

- ScotRail, Scotland

- Glasgow Subway

- RER, Paris (Took it to Disneyland Paris)

- Northern Rail, United Kingdom (From London to Glasgow)

- Eurostar (From London to Paris and back)

I don't think I've named them all but I got most of them.

All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.

WOW well you definitely got me beat!

Out of all of them I think that I got to go on the Seattle monorail.

I wouldn't say I'm so much a train enthusiast as I am a transit enthusiast. I do like trains, especially the world's various subway, light rail, tram/streetcar, commuter rail, and high-speed rail systems, and I like to keep up with new lines.

lol, now here's a thread for me!  Used to ride Chicago's Metra train each day for work a few jobs ago.  And of course, grew up with Lionel trains.  Have a layout in my room, lol.

Of course, growing up in Chicago, we got to see trains from all over the USA, since Chicago is the only city where all 6 of the big railroads join together.

Personal favorite, Union Pacific!

Awesome bro!

Your in probably the most train related place In the US.

I used to live in bum fuck north Idaho, oddly though I've been around trains one way or another.

Thares was a dude down the street that lives in a caboose as his summer home.

And now I live in a house on Railroad av right next to some tracks. (Still in use I may add)

What you call annoying I call heaven!

It seems that the type of trains most people like are the kind that are rideable, don't make a lot of noise, and stay out of the way. The trains that go through my town carry nothing but cargo, have deafening whistles, congest traffic on busy days, and sometimes even stop in the middle of the tracks (in the middle of town).

Dude I live right next to some train tracks and freight trains are the only thing that goes by. Also I'm right next to a RR crossing so they have to blow there horn every time. And yet I still love it!

Your argument is invalid!

It'd be really cool to ride on a train :3 That's somewhere on my bucket list, actually! Perhaps someday I shall, but for now it's not in my future. :P

One day my mom and I were driving and we got stuck behind a cargo train -.- It took forever for that thing to get across! A guy even got out of one of the pickups in front of us to come around and get some water from the back of the pickup, lol. :P I don't get why they have those trains be so LONG; what if it derailed and there were still a hundred cars behind it? :/

Longer trains = more money for the railroad.

I figured people liked trains, but I never thought about keeping and comparing lists of all the trains you've ridden on.

Well that's the first time if seen someone doing that but I don't think that that's what we all do. XD

We also have conventions! Called train shows!

I could agree more!

My stepmum's family owns a Traction Engine (It's fairly large, I don't know the exact type)

And yeah modern Thomas sucks, especially as they made it CGI and ruined why Thomas is so great.
