web Worst/Most Disgraceful Things You Saw Posted On Facebook

Facebook can be a dark window into someone's bigotry and intolerance, not just to humans but to animals too, such as dogs, I volunteer to look after wolves and wolf dogs, so I know they are intelligent and affectionate, they respond so passionately to touch, for when I see pictures of cruelty to canines, I makes my heart sink. Facebook is also a site that gives an outlet for some nationalist, too much in love for their country, ethnicity, gender, or religion, at first it seemed so small, now it's everywhere, and has ruined Facebook for me, which is a shame, because I have friends and family on my page, as much as I would like to participate on Facebook, I am still old fashioned, and would rather prefer face-to-face conversation, rather than letting the keyboard do my talking.

Amen! I'm the same way. In other words, real life > internet life any day. It feels much better and less depressing. Not only that, I can experience and see new things more. As much as this sounds clichéd, "The good old days".

Does anybody else have that one relative who just comments on absolutely everything?

Luckily, I don't. But I know a relative who posts a lot on Facebook.

All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.

I've have a SJW friend that had a pretty big "f@#$ the police" phase... She kept posting crap about a guy who was shot 5 times by a police man... although 3 of the 5 were in the arm as warning shots, several warning shots were fired that purposefully missed, one was in a non-lethal area of the chest, and the final one was in the head because the man was about to attack the police officer.... I understand that police brutality is a thing, but do some bloody research before hating somepony just for their chosen profession -_- I mean seriously, is that really any different from racism, sexism,or ethnicism if you discriminate against somepony for something as frivolous as their job?

Sorry, I'll get back on track (I'm just a little sensitive because my best friend's dad is a cop that's kind of notorious in our city for solving a closed murder case and putting the real criminal behind bars all Phoenix Wright style... only he's a police man and not a lawyer :P)

Thankfully, most of her posts are on Tumblr, and I stopped following her a while ago, so I don't have to deal with it.

Other than that, I've got some friends that have posted some shock-humor stuff because that's just their thing :P It's disgraceful, yes, it's offensive, yes, but it's also hilarious and it's not like they actually literally believe what they're posting (and it's not like they're posting stuff based on real events either) so I'm fine with it.

- Relationship Statuses: I hate relationship status updates because they violate privacy. Is it necessary to tell the world that you are in a relationship with someone? Shouldn't it be kept mostly personal?

Hey!

- Picture of someone in the hospital: I once looked into my mom's account and I saw one of my relatives posting a picture of her mom (who is very old and in serious condition) in the hospital. I found that extremely offensive and also makes me think that people want everything to be public.

Near the end of my grandfather's life, one of my cousins posted what was essentially a selfie in front of my grandfather lying in a hospital bed.  I considered it to be thoughtless and insensitive.

I saw a video of someone throwing a dog off a roof. Had to watch it because some kid linked to it here awhile ago when I was still active duty staff, and I had to determine whether or not the video was inappropriate. Hell yeah it was inappropriate. I reported the video on facebook and at first they decided not to take it down, but then later that decision was repealed and it was removed due to the graphic and disturbing nature of the violence.

I wasn't as used to disturbing shit back then as I am now, but even still just thinking about it makes me very sad.

I saw someone post "Your beautiful in you're own way"...  >_>

As an official member of the Grammar Police, I literally died after reading that. I am currently a skeleton posting this from grammar hell, as there is no way I can go to grammar heaven after reading that. (Curse you, Facebook!)

Hello! Gabe Newell here!

Signature removed, too confusing for new members.

Thanks, and have fun.

There was a post once, titled 'THE BEST DIVORCE LETTER EVER! READ THIS!' or something along those lines. I have no idea how divorce can be good, unless you're in abusive relationship, but I decided to give it a click anyway.

The first few paragraphs were just some usual stuff ('You didn't notice the bra I was wearing last night! I cooked food for you! Aghhhhh') then the next part was extremely sexist by objectifying the woman and basically saying that the husband expected her to cheat on him with his brother all along. Finally, it ended with this neat little line:

By the way, my brother Christopher was born Cristina >:3

ME:...so?!

Bullshit.

That's a significant reason to reconsider, before submitting an application to become a moderator, nowadays. I'm sorry that you had to be wedged into that situation, during your active duty staff days.

Think about it this way, SCS; While you had to witness that inestimably disturbing, horrifying, and inhumane act depicted in a video, you should consider how many members you've saved from witnessing that as well. I''m included in this group, and had it not been for your actions,  who knows how many members would be emotionally scarred?

I already cringe, when watching abused and abandoned dogs react to being rescued (the fact that they fear interaction with humans that are planning on helping them find a loving home is heartbreaking. Just imagining the amount of terror, such an innocent and undeserving victim was feeling, during their capture, is really close to making me tear up, at the moment.)

It bummed me out to read about (forgive the following clearly severe label) a textbook example of human filth, remorselessly ending an animal's life in such a disgusting fashion. Who knows how I would have reacted if I saw the actual footage? If I witnessed the act in person; well, let's just say that I'd be appreciating the Brony fandom's existence while behind bars.

Personally, I'm clearly willing to crusade and bring about the permanent end to these things, but my naive and idealistic views speak for itself.
