Sadly he took his own life. One of his friends died in a fire and he felt guilty over not being able to save them.

Well worth the trip. Got to meet my heroes. Got to watch two nights of great wrestling. Got to visit a nice city.

Well first, a little context. 

The night prior I got to meet Kota Ibushi. 

Posed with us holding little Sea Swirl. He pointed and went "Oohhhh!" 

He knew what was up. I think Ibushi might be a Brony. 

Fast forward next night. Seat next to me has an older Asian woman w/ reddish brown hair dressed in Ibushi's colors, holding an Ibushi teddy plush. I did a double take and thought "Naw, it couldn't be." 

The rowdy fans in front, one Naito cosplayer and one guy who was switching t- shirts for every faction that came down, and almost fainted when Bad Luck Fale gave him a too sweet, were getting ready to leave when they turned around, saw her and went "Hey, aren't you Ibushi's mom?" 

And it totally was! I was right! I got to meet two generations of the Ibushi clan in the span of a day. She was very nice and polite. We all got pictures with her. Like mother, like son.
