What would you do if a Dragon attack your town ?

I like how some people assume the military could do anything against a dragon. Depending on the dragon anything they do to it would be completely ineffectual. Or it's little more than a wyvern and is just dangerous to an unarmed civilian.

 

But if it's a magic-based dragon then we could be screwed. Magic tends to bend the laws of physics, or in some cases use them in a way that's beyond our understanding so we can never find a solution.

 

But if magic dragons existed then it's possible human magic users do too unless magic is something only the dragon has access to thanks to heightened senses and intelligence.

 

It really depends on what kind of dragon we're dealing with, I guess I'm trying to say.

Hahaha... but seriously, I'd probably be driving for my life. All those years playing mario kart and sonic the hedgehog will have finally paid off.

A couple of problems with that.

 

1. The obvious concern of everyone else trying to drive away. You'd be stuck in traffic and not actually going anywhere.

 

2. Assuming you were the first to have the balls to drive off the road you could incite a panic in other people who attempt the same and cause not only injury and death but possibly create an even bigger wall of cars that you'll never get around.

just because, I could say that I'd do something, but when that day would come, I'd probably do something different, due to panic...

Yup. It's very easy to say you'll do something but unless you've been in such a situation before you're not likely to know how you'd actually react. Emotions often get the better of us and it's very easy to over- and underestimate what your mind and body are capable of. Especially under the influence of adrenaline.

My city is within an assigned region for a SWAT team, and it is also adjacent to a military base fully armed with heavy weaponry. I would contact them and then escape, trying to help as many other people to escape as I could.
 
If they failed to stop the dragon, I'd sneak into the military base* and commandeer any weapon/vehicle I could, such as a tank, artillery, or at least a RPG-32 or a M4A1 carbine. I'd probably die, but at least I'd die trying to stop the dragon.

I would call the militia, military, and gun owners to defend the town from the dragon since I don't have a gun nor part of the military or militia. If they're too scared, then I and probably a lot of people will evacuate.

It'd approach the town, ready to blow fire, but just before it does I'd approach it and hug it's face. It's just a poor little misunderstood dragon. With a gentle hug and kiss, I'd calm it down, and then we'd fly off into the sunset together.
