So I picked up one of these poor souls at Walmart, derp face and all

 

And I'm making her look less terrible. Will post progress photos!

There's a seam in her chin that makes her face scrunchy, removing it makes it a lot less terribad as you can see here:

 

Currently in the process of resewing the horn, I added plush boning to make it more substantial

Twilight is now significantly hornier after a good boning. 

 

Not sure what I want to do next, I don't have the fabric to redo her mane but GOD is it terrible. I might order in some deep purple minky since I have a ton of fuchsia for my Photo Finish project but am only going to use a little bit.

Twilight has been demaned and she is ready for her new hairdo! We're pretty much done here til I get the new fabric!

If I were Hasbro, I would try a little harder to make sure these plushie manufacturers are faithfully recreating the ponies!   (Especially for fans like me who can't afford to drop $200 on a fanmade masterpiece from Ebay.)
