Which labels would you put on yourself?

I had this idea of a social network based on labels. Essentially an anonymous forum/chat where you would could discuss interests with equal minded people, however with a twist.

It would only be local groups, so meeting up and making friends would be a big part of this.

However this is deviating from the actual topic. It's only back-story for this question!

 

 

 

If you were to list your labels, how would the list look?  B)  

 

Mine would be:

  • PCGamer
  • PCMR member
  • Game Enthusiast
  • Redditor
  • Brony
  • YouTuber
  • Film Fanatic
  • Audiophile
  • Technophile
  • Philosopher
  • Drinker
  • Somewhat series/anime watcher

The labels here aren't exactly perfect, but you should somewhat understand what they mean  ^_^

Also I want to know how much do you feel you "know" me based on this?

Edit: Wow, sudden realization that these labels could equate to cutiemarks, and gives a interesting meaning to blank flanks.

Labels are bull, because putting a label on yourself is selling yourself short. Just calling oneself PCGamer does not in fact mean that your life's purpose is to play video games. Likewise with Philosopher, we all have moments where we think we're being deep, but a lot of us were probably just high, drunk, or overthinking something. 

 

I am a firm believer in the expression of I, not us.

I wouldn't get far, with my lack of varying interests.

 

Labels are horrible. They confine a person, and don't let them be who they are. I wouldn't join this boat (I've always been a forum lady anyways).

Anyway, as you can see, despite I call myself a PCGamer, that's by far not my life's purpose, as it is only one of all those labels.

However, the sum of those labels largely define my life.

 

About the philosopher, yeah all labels will be debatable, there is no denying that  :)

However I put it on myself because I more often meet people who gets bored when I start talking about such things, sometimes even laughed at.

Yeah the gamer term is very broad, that's why I basically have 3 gamer labels on myself  :lol:

One for the fact that I game on PC, the second for the fact that I advocate switching to PC and the third for the fact that I play and know a lot of games, not just played WoW or CoD for 8 years.

@, I see you added some interests, that's great  :)  Indeed labels can be bad if they forced upon you and especially negative ones. However I feel it's a great way to express and find common interests with our peers. +1 Gaming Enthusiast ;)

There are actually a number of labels which I'll apply to myself to various levels:

 

Band Nerd (Although I haven't been in band since the first semester of 2013. T.T)

Bassoonist (and saxophonist and oboist when I feel like I can play them proficiently. Not right now. lol)

Woodwind Enthusiast (or as I like to jokingly say - Crazy Woodwind Lady xD)

Lesbian

Feminist

Atheist

Anti-Theist

 

TBH, I'd probably stop there, but you could probably also call me a One Piece fan, animation-lover, and general MLP fan. I just don't tend to identify with my media interests like that... They don't define me. Although maybe something for my love of music from my parents generation (1960s/70s) and classical/early music, too... And my love for history (music and otherwise).
