Well, as a rule of thumb, I don't really care for "labels".  A lot of society's problems come from slapping labels on others, and making assumptions based on said labels.

 

But I also don't mind labeling myself if it's true, and this is pretty harmless.  I'll omit the sarcastic, obvious ones like "human".

What are some non-problematic labels.....?

 

Movie buff. I know I fancy myself a movie buff. (I technically see fewer than 50 movies a year tho. Fifty including releases from the past year and movies that are not current. I've seen 28 releases from 2014 between February 22, when I saw The Lego Movie, which was my first 2014 film, to May of this year, when I watched a Redbox rental of Still Alice)

 

Much of the movies were either Oscar bait (even tho I detest them) or off-the-radar movies such as Joe (Nicolas Cage 2014 film) or The Rover (Guy Pearce, Robert Pattinson) Or Belle, Locke, Mr. Turner.

I've never understood the obsession people have with cramming themselves into a series of ever-smaller boxes.  I find labels to be divisive and that they encourage people to form preconceptions about people they have never so much as spoken to.

 

I take people as I find them, and would ask that they do the same.  You can't get an accurate impression of anyone's personality based on a few buzzwords and tumblrisms.

 

But.. In order to satisfy the criteria of the topic, and for a sense of irony I will on this occasion assign myself a label.
