Replying to/making status updates on mobile

I was wondering if it's possible to allow status updates on the mobile site? I hate having to switch to the full site to answer a status update because it's super slow and I sometimes mis-tap something.

Short answer:

It's not gonna happen, deal with it.

 

Long answer:

The IP.B Mobile theme is not created by our staff and because of this, they can not improve or change this theme (as far as I know). This is something that Invision Power themselves have to fix. Since we are not running the newest version of IPB (I'm not 100% sure, someone who knows for sure, please fill in) invision power are not going to update the mobile theme for this version. There are three possible ways to solve your problem: a) use the "full site" button at the bottom of the site, try to get invision power's attention and make them fix this (which probably won't be done as we've tried to contact them about this before) and c) wait for mlp forums to make an app. I know staff will probably say otherwise but trust me, there won't be a working mlp forums app. We have wanted it for years, begged every night and day! Nah not really but there are over 50 threads about this and in the end they all come to the conclusion with the help of staff and experienced members: We do not have enough knowledge nor resources to make an app (which is weird by the way as we're "the largest pony forum on the net" and pony forums way smaller than us have apps). Time is everything and the staff are busy with other things as they aren't planning to do work here 24/7, moderation, administration, development and maintenance is something they do for free, their only salary is some fame and fancy badges.

 

I suggest you to use your computer as much as you can when possible and use the "full site" version on your phone with the "IP.Board" theme as it is WAY faster than the MLP Forums theme, especially on your phone when speed it everything.
