technology Web Browser Question

Hello fellow forum members, I'll just get straight to the point.

I recently just got a new desktop computer with windows 8.1 and I am still learning how to work everything but I haven't found an answer to this question I have. The question is that when I go to Deviantart and open a picture in a new tab or window I do not get the option to do that only just to save it on my computer/set it as a background, ect... Is there a way around this? Or would I just need to switch over to either Chrome or Fixfox?

Thanks to whoever helps in advance.

Are you asking about the "right click" --> "open image in new tab" feature?

I don't use Internet Explorer, but it seems you are saying this feature isn't working for you.  I would try to use either Firefox or Chrome and see if you can fix the issue.

The problem is that you aren't using Firefox.

oops...I did forget to say what I'm using  Yes, I am using Internet Explorer but I just tried on Chrome and it works. I wonder why IE doesn't allow you to do that  :okiedokielokie:

I have only tried Fixfox once and it didn't seem too friendly to me xD

Thank you all for your input even if it was a question or a random statement  :P

Because Internet Explorer is the socially misguided kid of all the main internet browsers. Everyone keeps him around to make him feel better but he literally can't do anything better than any of the other popular ones.

The only reason Internet Explorer still exists is because it's the default browser on any new Windows machine and the uninitiated don't know better. Plus they insist on Skype running through IE so it's literally impossible to use Skype without IE on your computer.
