I noticed there wasn't a thread on here like this.

So the point of this thread is to promote FimFIc found on http://www.fimfiction.net/ . But there a few rules to this:

1. Dont promote fics found on here, it would be..redundant 

2. Please tell why you recommended it 

3. As pains me to say, don't promote your own material because well you probably think it's good, but every author thinks their work is good and sometimes it really isn't, no offense to authors out there (tbh I'm one myself, so I won't link my story).

I'll start with an oldie: Progress http://www.fimfiction.net/story/339/progress- a comedy about Luna trying to adjust to life 1000 years after her exile (and it has probably my favourite depiction of her and Celestia as sisters). One negative is that it has a bit of an abrupt ending, but besides that is an entertaining read

 

Another older one: It's a Dangerous Business, Going out your Door http://www.fimfiction.net/story/182859/its-a-dangerous-business-going-out-your-door- a Rarity + Dash + AJ adventure, set sometime during season 1. Is probably one of the best written fanfics I have read.
