As per usual, I can't answer with just one...

1.  LionBoy - by Zizou Corder (book 1 of trio)

2.  Fahrenheit 451 - by Ray Bradbury

3.  The Everworld Series - by K.A. Applegate (all books in series)

I used to have much more enthusiasm for reading books when I was in junior high and high school.  I wish I still had the enthusiasm, and it's not that I couldn't - but, being preoccupied with too many other things in college hasn't left much time for me to sit down at a time where I can actually focus to read a book for pleasure.

Favorite series would be The Guardians of Ga'Hoole, which I really should go back and read now that I think about it...

I also enjoyed Journey to the Center of the Earth when I was younger.

Twilight is my favorite.

Haha just kidding those books are utter garbage and Meyers' The Host was even worse than garbage.

I can't say I have a favorite book. But I have a bunch that I like alot.

The Neverending Story

Interview with the Vampire

Bram Stokers Dracula

The Outsiders this might actually take the favorite spot.

A Wrinkle in Time

The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe

Into Thin Air is a fantastic read about a mount everest expedition that turned disastrous. I absolutely could not put that one down. I think I read it cover to cover one night.

It follows a lot of book given M rBeagle did the script for the movie.

Ive also have never read the book but that is one of my favorite movies. I might have to dig around and find a copy.

"All Quiet on the Western Front" and "Catcher and the Rye" were the only books I can say I was glad to have as required reading. I ended up loving those two

I didn't know what to think about Catcher in the Rye. It was not at all what I expected. As a result, when I finished it I remember thinking hmmm well whatever. I did get a bunch of excellent reads as assigned reading in college. Alot of them I liked enough to not sell back to the college book store. Edited by Lexamena

I can't choose a favorite. I love books, and to pick a single favorite would be a crime. I'll just pick three randomly.

The Enemy - A series about a plague that affects everyone over 15 years old. The symptoms either kill the infected or drive them mad. In the aftermath, it's kids versus crazed cannibalistic adults in the streets of London.

Harry Potter -  Come on, it's Harry Potter for crying out loud.

Sonic the Hedgehog - I'm gonna cheat and list a comic book. The Sonic the Hedgehog comic books (not to be mistaken for Sonic the Comic) were produced before the '95 show Sonic SatAM premiered, but the writers and artists were ordered to use the storyboard and original script to develop the series. The comic books were meant to promote the TV show, and did a good job of it. However, the show was cancelled, and the comic book was no longer needed. Surprisingly, the comic book had soared in popularity, and was continued anyway, with issues still being published monthly.

Science of Superheroes, as being big geek of Superhereoes, I find book really fantastics and interesting, and don't want to put it down. That time I haven't got a job so I read books. Now jobs, was unable to, there books I want to read but unable to but will try.

As for my favorite book, it talk about superheroes like if they were in real life and science base on them.

If we're talking series, I'll say the Hunger Games series. Haven't read the whole series though. If we're talking specific books though, I'l say that the original Hunger Games book that started the series is my favorite. Also, I can't believe this thread isn't pinned.

I've finished about three Terry Pratchett books while trying to get through The Order Of The Phoenix, if that's any hint as to how spectacular this author is! He writes hilarious, insightful and interesting fantasy novels that all take place on the Discworld, though not all of the stories are connected. The first in the "series" is called The Colour Of Magic, if anyone's interested. I started the series on The Wee Free Men.

Reading guide:

Of all of his books that I've read, this one is likely my favourite:

I also really liked Going Postal, Making Money, Reaper man, and The Truth. I have yet to read Good Omens, (not part of Discworld) but I've heard it's AMAZING. It was written by Terry Pratchett AND Neil Gaiman.

When I was little, I loved The tale of Desperaux and A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Series:

-Harry Potter. I know it's common but being a Potterhead I love the books. Oh, and Gryffindor pride. :maud:

-Percy Jackson. I've always been interested in a lot of mythology, especially Greek mythology most so when I found out about what Percy Jackson was about I got hooked on and I'm still on the first book but enjoying it a lot so far.

-The Hunger Games. I know same as Harry Potter but I find it a interesting depiction of the United States in the if you're and the concept of the Hunger Games games itself. And Katniss is not a bad main character.

Dork Dairies. I know it's for younger girls and all and seems like a kids' book series but I find them pretty enjoyable and silly books to read every once in awhile and since I'm in middle school the series suits well for me.

-A Series of Unfortunae Events. Witty and clever writing and stories, intelligent characters with good development, humorous but excellent villian. What more could you ask?

Normal Indiviual Novels:

-Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I was surprised to see a book about fandoms and though not the best of books and I can understand why some of Rowell's fans were disappointed with the book's popularity, I found it a fun book with some awareness of fandoms and all. Can't believe I'd see a published novel about fan fiction. :o

-Howliday Inn by James Howe. I've actually just finished this book I got from the local library yesterday and I found it quite enjoyable. Interesting humorous mystery story and keep me laughing as well curious. Not the most mysterious or serious of mysteries but still enjoyable for me and more fun than Bunnicula, the book before Howliday Inn.

-Most books by Judy Blume. Quite relatable for a lot of kids and realistic and I find them to be fun books sometimes.

The Sharpe series, no doubt about it. Intense action, excellent storytelling, a hundred reasons to hate the french, and a whole host of memorable characters.

After those, would probably be Varjak Paw, and its sequels.

Bloody good read, that.
