Earth Pony Vs Human... but

Earth Pony Vs Human. As in a wrestling match show of strength and stuff. No killing, just knocking each other out in a ring.

 

 Let's say a pony as big as Big Macintosh vs the human.

 

But... but... but... since many of you may  assume the Earth Pony wins by default since he's a pony with super strength. To make things.... somewhat fair, the human has been genetically modified to have the same strength and endurance as an Earth pony.

 

Would the human's arm reach and being just as strong as the pony give him the edge to win? Or would the pony win regardless despite the fact he's facing a human with super strength?

 

So the real question is, which body type would be best for fighting/wrestling against one another?

In that case yes the humans reach will be enough because humans are already the superior race without the genetical modification

If they were equal in terms of strength, then my vote goes to the human. The pony might be harder to flip because of it's lower center of gravity, but the human has more dexterity and would likely be able to grip better with hands than a pony's hooves. Plus, humans can be ingeniously sneaky bastards when it comes to competitions.

A seasoned human wrestler could probably wrestle a pony to the ground regardless of having strength modifications or not maybe just an average person as well. He just needs some skill. Ponies tend to be rather docile after all.

Actually giving humans the strength of a pony would unbalance this fight by a lot. We are on average taller than ponies, even ones like big mac, and that kind of a strength increase would make our punches and grapples much more efficient.

As with most competitions featuring creatures of different adapations... I think it depends on which of the two is simply more adapted to the challenge at hand. Humans are naturally gifted at physical manipulation, and possess a good range of motion that allows us to push, pull, grab, etc. Meanwhile, horses and ponies and such, from what I gather, are great at mobility, reaction, and speed. They're also rather powerful, as a kick from a zebra can break the jaw of a lion. However, in wrestling, we're disallowing what may be the greatest defense of a pony (kicking), and putting things in terms of an up-close battle of who can grab, lock, bind, and overpower.   So I think humans would have the advantage here.

Well from what I can guess by general greater size, dexterity, and reach of an average human over an average earth pony whom, from what I can tell, is faster and stronger. I'd say it would be about even with the human having a slight advantage in hands. However since you specifically mentioned Big Mac whom is larger and stronger than average earth ponies the size advantage of humans would be lessened, but Big Mac seems to not have as much intelligence as most ponies meaning he could probably be outsmarted easier. So I'd say advantage still goes to the human since humans rose to the top of the food chain due to their intelligence.

A human could easily evade the attacks the earth pony would throw at the human if they know what the earth pony is going to do the attacks the earth pony can do is rather limited so it would get predictable fast the human could get it on the floor and into a submission hold

Earth Ponies have Pinkie Pie. Sorry humans, but you're screwed. If it's just Big Mac vs a human, no weapons, then the Earth Pony would win. If weapons, assuming both sides have the same weapons, Earth Ponies would still win. If only humans get weapons, Humans would win.

I feel like the pony has a better advantage in actually knocking the human down. As long as the human is well balanced, I see no need to make them stronger. A pony of large size could step all over you once they knocked you to the ground o.o In this instance, I am unsure. I guess the human as long as they have good balance and coordination.

The human's a superior grappler but a hoof would still hurt a lot more than a fist. And a human can't really do an "apple buck kick" whatever the name for that is. Those would have a hell of a lot of power behind them.
