So folks, if somebody introduces some to you as their 'partner' what do you immediately assume they mean? I honestly want to know what the majority of people think because I immediately think of a bus

Well if they're talking about business I'd assume business partner. Otherwise I'd assume romantic partner. Unless they're playing tennis or something lol. It is confusing.

My sister says partner. I guess it's better than saying boyfriend and girlfriend in your thirties but just barely.
