Your best boss intros

One of my favorite boss fight introductions happens to be the final battle against Ganon in Ocarina of Time. You have to escape a collapsing castle and a the point when you think Ganondorf is dead you walk over to the rubble to investigate as he bursts from it changing into his final form knocking away your most powerful option to fight him and surrounding you in a field of fire.

The Classic Megaman Boss intros will always reign supreme.(personally Megaman X had the best rendition of the classic boss tune)

Not "epic" but the first thing that came to mind was the little intro for each boss when you got to them in Megaman 2. The music changed and the boss did a little "thing" that just always got me hyped to fight the boss. It didn't need to be epic or long winded, it just "did it".

Many of the bosses from Dark Souls from Dark Souls have amazing intros. They do a wonderful job at striking sheer intimidation into you. Which is what a boss should do I think.

Another one is Queen Gohma from Ocarina of Time. The entire setting of that stage was eerie enough, but to have that boss just walking on the ceiling, you can hear her and the way to start the fight is to look up at her in which she drops down and the fight begins. Such an amazing intro for the first boss of the game.

And these. These are imbedded into my mind. <3

A lot of the boss intros in Metroid Prime are amazing, especially as the series progresses. The most memorable to me is the final Dark Samus battle in Prime 2, especially when both Samus and Dark Samus take aim at each other right before the final battle begins. Really sets the mood for it.

I love the intro for the March Hare Boss fight.. There is an epic buildup...

I just wish I could actually fight him, but instead, the fight takes place in a cutscene..

Just perfect ...

Jubileus in Bayonetta

I mean come on, you have to ride up a launched rocket ship in a motorcycle as Jeanne in an attempt to stop it and save Bayonetta, only for it to be summoned in SPACE when Bayonetta comes to her senses to fight it in a battle that can only be described as God of War meets Devil May Cry meets Super Mario Galaxy... and the enemies hint that this might happen the whole game... SUCH HYPE :D

Does the build-up to the final Ghirahim battle in Skyward Sword count? It's probably not as epic now that Hyrule Warriors exists, but rushing down through the hordes of Bokoblins while this was playing... it really got me hyped for the battle ahead, and even the cutscene directly before the battle was pretty cool. The intro for the actual final boss is pretty awesome too, though. ^-^

The scenes leading up to the final boss fight of Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story were epic! But seeing as that has been mentioned already, I shall focus on another great boss introduction. I've mentioned Sonic Unleashed in gaming threads a lot, but I simply have to ramble on about it again here! The intro to the final boss, Dark Gaia, is amazing! The the graphics are simply stunning, with a lot of intricate detail, as the Chip forms the Gaia Colossus to help fend of the boss, as the dark energy within Sonic is stolen back by Dark Gaia. There isn't that much more I can say, but it is truly awesome. A great lead-up to a great battle! :squee:

Well, as awkward as it is to have 2 posts in a row from the same game... I really can't think of a more intense boss intro than this person right here... The first time you fight him, his INTRO will kick the crap out of you, guaranteed!

I'll put it under a spoiler tag, for anyone that hasn't seen it yet, and to anyone that still wants to continue, I have only this to ask...

Do you want to have a bad time?
