My mom was chill with it. It's just another cartoon to her. My parents are divorced, though, and I haven't seen my dad in a while. Haven't told him yet, either... honestly there's no telling how that man'll react.

Fluttershy and Princess Luna are the 2 BEST PONIES. Just sayin.

B) and Trixie's really cool, too.

The first time my parents became aware that I was interested in My Little Pony was when my mom took me to Build-a-Bear because I decided it'd be a cute thing to do for my birthday. I found the Rainbow Dash plush there and picked her out, and when we got out of the store, my mom asked me what the pony's name was. She seemed mildly interested and didn't bash me for it. It went pretty well, I guess.

I don't think either of them care one bit. They certainly know considering they've seen me watching episodes before and wearing pony shirts, but neither bring it up so I think it barely registers to them or is filed under the category of "Not an issue/concern." It's no weirder than some the other stuff I watch and enjoy.

They don't know, and I don't plan to tell them.

Me neither. My parents aren't very open-minded. Besides, they don't need to know, it won't change their lives anyway.

I doubt they'd care, assuming they'd even know what a brony is. So, not much point in telling them at all. I'm still pretty well reserved and keep all these ponies a secret :P

I told my mom after about ten minutes of buildup sitting in the car. It felt good to say it. Both my parents are completely fine with it, and it hasn't been embarrassing for a long time.

My parents general reaction was a bit incredulous at first, but it was mostly "if you like it and it doesn't hurt anyone, it's no big deal." I even coaxed my mom to start reading my fanfic, although she has yet to get very far.

I haven't told my family. They would probably tease me a little then forget about it. They honestly wouldn't care that much. We tease each other about things all the time, but it's all just a little fun. For example: I tease my dad for watching True Blood and he teases me and my sister for watching Doctor Who. I probably won't tell them. Not because I don't want them to know, but more because I don't feel the need to tell them about everything I do in my personal time. More of a personal privacy thing. If they find out, then cool. If not, then also cool.

Well, my mom was perfectly fine with it. Of course, she mocked me at first and cracked jokes, but she's actually gone out of her way to surprise me with some merchandise, which is very kind of her seeing how she's not in the best financial state.

Now my father on the other hand...that's a different story. At first, he saw the pictures I was drawing and cared very little about it, but then I decided to take one of the pictures and wear it around my neck to see what people's initial reaction would be. He grew furious and him and I had a very heated discussion about the topic. Later, my step-mom told him that one of her co-workers watched a documentary on it since her son was a Brony, so my dad watched it, took me to Starbucks, and apologized. As of now, he tolerates it, but doesn't encourage that I go around showing off all of my plushies and shirts.

I never told them. They are aware that I'm fond of the cartoon ponies as well as my merchandises, but I never felt I had any obligation to tell them about it and I don't think they understand the concept of Brony. They don't care. It's funny to me how people seem to treat being a Brony like being homosexual.
