So...here's something very different. This is the first time I've ever tried this and well, did it turn out amazing.

 

This is a piano remix of "The Spectacle" fusing both classical and house genres.

Hmm...tbh, I kinda feel that this thread belongs in the fan music section, even though I said I wanted a critique...I just feel that the music section of creative resources only gets noticed by those who are seeking stuff while the critique threads get left untouched...

How'd you like the remix overall? Anything that caught your attention? And anything that could be improved?

It is definitely unique and entertaining. There were times that the melody was hard to pick out, which is a common problem when you are dealing with elaborate piano midi pieces. I really like the flow of the accompaniment throughout the whole thing. The chorus sections are well designed- I can pick out the melody within the accompaniment easily. The second half is superb. with the sweeping arpeggios. Vaguely reminds me of black midi songs (those things are INSANE).

Not bad! Considering the song isn't exactly the easiest to adapt on piano you did a very good job indeed I can't really say more than that I agree with what Bluepony said a few posts ago xD And about the playability (I'm a "pianist" myself), I'd say it definitely is playable, very hard at times, but playable. Actually I think the easiest part is the central section with the fast arpeggios xD

Not really, because that's the most exhausting part of the piece. Really, that's actually the hardest. And if you're gonna try to play this, you may wanna warm your hands up, because they may be throbbing after you finish...
