Theory Scootaloo's Mom

I'm just rewatching the show, and I noticed this pony on the right side of the screen. Doesn't she have certain traits that our little pegasi has as well? Her mane, coat and eye colour match. I don't know if she has any wings though under that robe, seeing the other two pegasi having holes in their outfits for their wings it makes it doubtful, but it can be a part of the reason as to why Scoot can't fly either, if she's only half pegasus. 

 

What do you guys think? Could this one be her mother? Maybe she (or the one who is her mother) will be introduced in the sixth season.

That could be possible. but the cakes' Pegasus baby could fly when both parents were earth ponies. So why would Scootaloo not be able to fly?

Even if her mother was an earth pony wouldn't she still be able to fly?

I totally forgot about the Cake babies. Sorry about that. The mystery as to why Scoot can't fly is still unsolved it would seem, It can't be that her wings are too small either, since Bulk Biceps can fly with his itty bitty tiny wings.

Well she has to have some sort of family, but I doubt that some random background character is Scootaloo's mother.

I am pretty sure that the writers would just create brand new characters from nowhere if they ever decided to show her having a family.

I think that color scheme is just a coincidence.

 

I personally suspect that we'll see more into Scootaloo's family life next season; it's just to big of an issue for the writers to ignore at this point.

It's hard telling whether that's her mother or not, but it's plausible.

 

Then again, appearance might not be as strongly tied to genetics as we think.  I mean, how many traits does Twilight share with her parents?  Her hairstyle doesn't necessarily count, since that's more of a choice you make at the barbershop than a genetic trait.

Pretty sure she has a name(forgot what it was), and I'm also sure she's unrelated, she's just another background pony. Of course she fits my headcanon that her parents are actually Earth ponies

As to "Why can't Scootaloo fly?", I point to Fluttershy in The Cutie Mark Chronicles as proof some Pegasi are just late flyers.  That pony could be Scootaloo's mother.  I'm hoping Season 6 will show some background on her.

It could be different for everypony in that situation. Yes, Pound Cake could fly, but that doesn't mean every pegasus that has a non pegasus parent can fly
