It's fine! I'm not criticizing you, If anything you're demonstrating a bigger problem with the industry in general! The fact that you didn't know is not really an issue, it's showing that the other companies are doing their best to keep people from realizing they are doing the same crap Apple does. I mean don't get me wrong, Apple is the devil. They will rip people off and not think twice, but I can only criticize them for things they are legitimately doing wrong that no one else is doing is all.

Yes, the iPhones are price gouged up the wazoo. It only costs Apple like $147 to make an iPhone and they sell it for $700+, that is utter BS. However Samsung does the same thing, Sony does the same thing, LG does the same thing, Apple just charges a "little" more and then all the other companies go out of their way to make sure their customers criticize Apple for doing it so no one notices they are doing it either.

It's a crappy state of affairs really :c

Damn, I never thought of it that way. Thanks for that lol. I agree with you 100% there though.

We need to start demanding companies make devices that last more than 12 minutes. >:[

Honestly, I can bet people already did that. But it's sad that they don't do anything for you but send a copied and pasted email to you like "We have examined through your email, and now you can go fuck yourself because we are not doing it!" (Obviously enough that was an exaggeration, but that's basically putting their paragraphs into one sentence)

Companies like Apple or Samsung have no interest in building longevity into their products, they'd literally be throttling their own market which is terrible business whichever way you look at it.

Technology companies more than most others require their products to have obsolescence built-in in order to ensure that you put your hand in your pocket to shell out for the next iteration when they have it available for sale.

Ordinarily I am right there criticizing Apple, but... I can't criticize them for this move because this has NEEDED to happen for a LOOOOONG time and no one has had the balls to do it but Apple. Our headphone technology is ancient and has been holding back audio quality. Not to mention... Bluetooth headphones are hardly proprietary. If anything this has been a very open-source move by Apple.

People did not realize how much the LG Tones blew up when they hit the stores. LG could not keep them in stock when they came out. Bluetooth headphones are getting a LOT better because Bluetooth 3.0+ has resolved a lot of the major issues. The technology is only getting better and on top of that Lightning (and USB C for Android) based headphones are the way to go! They produce amazing sound quality.

So....why not have both? What is the point of completely removing one feature just to force people into 'adapting' with the Bluetooth stuff? I mean, they could easily have an audio jack and still support Bluetooth. This move to me makes absolutely no sense.

It makes perfect sense if apple want to sell expensive lightning connector headphones and expensive headphone adapters.

Because we have had both already for years and no one has really made the switch. We've had bluetooth for years now and people are still holding onto an outdated headphone tech. Apple are just the first to take the chance.

As an owner of an Android device, I don't understand the concept of how each upcoming Iphone tries to present themselves as "New and Improved", especially when hearing that there won't be any audio jacks on the Iphone 7.

This would mean that the options for listening to music is to either buy the Bluetooth headphones, or use the speakers of the same method.

I don't really have a problem of Apple trying to "improve" their products, but no matter what there will always be people who are eager to purchase the latest smartphones.

just buy a $300 dollar pair of Bluetooth headphones and you will be listening like a pro!

Actually I currently own a $25 dollar pair of wireless headphones

Laughter. That's me.

I see it not only as the aspect of a good friend, but also a virtue for life!

To let the world roll over me and my friends (psst that's you)  and enjoy every moment is my life goal.

So let me make you laugh... Let me make you smile... Let me brighten your day... You may be all the better for it
