gaming Good PC game with a female protagonist?

Is there any good PC game with a female protagonist? And nothing like Mass Effect, GTA or any other customized sort of character deal.

Portal has a female protagonist.

 

I can't think of any others right now, I mostly play games where you make your character because I love that.

Metroid, Lara Croft, Beyond good and evil, Freedom Planet, and Heavenly Sword are a few others I know.

 

If you like a game where there are a cast of female characters, Fire Emblem, Zelda, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, and the super mario and especially it's rpg spinoffs are good too.

 

And yea, I know what he asked for pc games and of course there are methods that exist for it.

Try out Life is Strange. Very strong game on the storytelling point, with two very great female protagonists.

 

The game is parted in 5 parts, but you can get the full game as well.

Portal has a female protagonist. Assassins Creed Syndicate has two playable characters, one of which is female (and a total badass)

There's this thing called "Horse Game"...you can find it on Equestria Gaming. It's not really a statement for female protagonists, but uh...y'know. The protagonist is a mare and the enemies, at least the pony ones, seem to be mainly stallions. I don't know how much customization there is, but I know you can pick up various clothes items and things to wear along the way - and you can put them on, too.

The old Tomb Raider games are worth giving attention. And because it has the badass Lara Croft and not the whiny damsel who's relying on QTEs to save her plot .

Both Portal and Portal 2 feature Chell, and GLaDOs is the villian of Portal and pseudo villian of Portal 2. I haven't played Portal, but I highly recommend Portal 2.

That's just to name a few and I can elaborate on any of them if need be. They're quite a few PC games that have a female protagonist, which is in large part thanks to the Independent Games developers having a lot more freedom to do what they want rather than being forced to develop for certain demographics. Not to say that they don't use the demographics to their advantage that's basic marketing, but they just don't have to make a game set up by studio mandates.
