What characters would you like to see in the movie?

I don't mean like just a cameo or something, I'm talking like speaking roles and maybe a little bit of helpfulness or action. I personally want to see more of Ember (If you couldn't tell). I would also like to see more of Derpy, and Lyra and Bon Bon. I wouldn't expect villians to appear, but you never know.

Sunset Shimmer has to return to Equestria. Even though I love her, I understand why she's not that appealing to others due to her sometimes bland depiction. What this character has, it's awesome backstory, and I NEED to see her meeting Celestia again

Well, we know so far from the information we have that the Mane Six and Spike are in it, and since the threat is after Ponyville, we will probably see some of the other Ponyville residents, like Vinyl and Octavia, the Crusaders, the Cakes, Big Mac, and Granny Smith. Maybe even Zecora.

 

However, since we still have over a year and a half before the movie hits the theaters, and we don't have much information yet to go on, I do wonder if in the coming months we will get more details in regards to which characters will appear in the movie, especially if that includes the Royal Family as well, or the movie will be like most episodes in the series so far, with the Mane Six and Spike the only main characters to appear, such as in Daring Don't, Power Ponies, and The Cutie Map.

If Celestia and Philomena do appear in the movie, it will probably be a minor role, unless they are called in to help against the big threat to Ponyville that the Mane Six can't handle on their own without all their friends to support them in attaining victory.

I'd love for Spike to have a good role. He was one of the best things about the first EqG, and he needs more love. Discord could add a lot of fun to the film, and a scene featuring Derpy would be a welcome treat.

But the most important thing is the mane 6 all having strong roles, which should be a given.

Photo Finish.  She's one of my favorite "background ponies," and it disappoints me that she's barely appeared in the show.  I don't care why she might be in the film.  I don't care if she does nothing but insert German words and phrases into her dialogue and then run off-screen; in fact, I hope she's in the film and does precisely that.

I also remember Spike having a baby phoenix, whatever happened to that?  It was like he had it one episode, and then the rest of the show was like, did it fly away? Or, was it hidden in the closet? Hmm...
