If your monitor is 60 Hz, a 1080 would be overkill. I think the 1070 should be good enough.

And affordable too. The current price tag in The Netherlands is 500 Euros, which is the limit for me.

I have a GTX 960 which was included in the gaming PC that I purchased a year ago, so I'll make the upgrade in a few years or only when I really need to, such as if VR becomes mainstream, which I doubt it would, or a game requires it.
