M'gann M'orzz 745 May 11, 2016 Share May 11, 2016 After I remembered "Soarin' Over Equestria" having an episode that probably won't air until after the hiatus is over, "The Fault In Our Cutie Marks". I went to check when it comes out, an lo-and-behold, August 2 Hopefully this means the hiatus won't be long Well about 2 months would match the S5 mid season hiatus. Kawaii Besu 28,011 May 11, 2016 Share May 11, 2016 Well, at least we didn't get to have a friggin' 11-month long hiatus like from S4-S5, so, I'm okay with this. Gives me time to catch up with other shows I haven't watched. 1 Count to numbers with 7 digits! CtaM FM: You can always "count" on us when a new pony episode comes out. VengefulStrudel 1,495 May 11, 2016 Share May 11, 2016 Well, that was to be expected. I don't mind it, I rather Seasons take a break in Summer, end in Autumn and star in late Winter/early Spring, rather than waiting one year for 'em. I got plenty of plans for Summer, including an all-season marathon, so, no shortage of ponies. 1 Check out my art thread for some cute ponies, cookies and boops. Guest May 11, 2016 Share May 11, 2016 Hmmmm this is interesting... This is the first part of my theory that would verify the series ending soon.: The season takes a hiatus putting the end of the season closer to the end of the year. This means there won't be a full year to make a season 7 as the film will come out, and I doubt they will be pumping out episodes while the film is in theaters so they will dedicate next year to the film. If no season 7 is confirmed over the summer this basically will solidify the next part of my theory. New seasons are usually confirmed about halfway through the current season, and if this doesn't happen, then the trend will be broken which points to Hasbro banking on the film being a success. In no season 7 happens next year for the film to have plenty of room, then Hasbro is putting the decision on the film. If the film bombs, then the show will likely be cancelled like how it was with the Powerpuff girls back in 2004. 1 has already happened, so now we wait to see if 2 happens. If 2 happens, then I think it's relatively safe to say that 3 will be the deciding factor. Honestly this comes as no surprise to me: season 6 is getting some of the LOWEST amount of viewers ever. Lower than season 5. Criticisms of the show from bronies are at an all time high, we can't seem to have a single episode without people panning it to all hell. Merchandise is slowly disappearing from stores, indicating that it's not selling as much anymore. I think Hasbro is on the fence on if the series will continue to be profitable. Sonic5421 425 May 11, 2016 Share May 11, 2016 The hiatus actually has perfect timing as the annual Country Music Fest that local radio station WKCQ holds every year in my hometown is the weekend after Season 6 goes on hiatus, so I won't have to worry about either missing a new episode, or missing some of the stuff at the Country Music Fest to catch the new episode anyway. I kind of like how they are doing that like with Season 5. Really works out for me when I think about it.

Guest May 11, 2016 Share May 11, 2016 My, we're pessimistic today, aren't we? No, just realistic. I actually don't care if the show ends or not. I am just looking at the situation objectively. If the show ends, I'm cool with that.
Jeric 46,854 May 11, 2016 Share May 11, 2016 I'm alright with that, its better than the year long thing they did with season 4. Sure I integrated into the fandom during that hiatus but even I was feeling its effects by the end of it. Same. Became a fan in March 2014 and then joined here in April. A month later the year long drought began ... the wait was quite painful. The mid season hiatus for Season 5 and the break between Season 5 and 6 were far more forgiving. Of course there will likely be another cool sneak animatic at SDCC to get the fandom excited again.

Wind Chaser 4,768 May 11, 2016 Share May 11, 2016 In addition, I'd probably take this as more evidence that the show is nearing its end, as it's common practice for networks to drag the later seasons out longer so that they look better in investor relations. Grtxkkyz 388 June 9, 2016 Share June 9, 2016 Oh well, guess this is how things will be now for the next seasons. I'm afraid the show will end without showcasing all the World Building i expected, but anyway, fans can fill those gaps. Let's just hope fans don't go all like SpongeGar if Legend of the Everfree (EG 4) comes before the next half of the season this time. Truth be told, i wasn't able to catch on some of the latest episodes, so this will make up for it. 1 My Dragon Cave scroll: http://dragcave.net/user/Dino-Mario

Allen 1,387 June 10, 2016 Share June 10, 2016 Here we go again with the hiatus this summer starting this or next Saturday, and then I hope the 6th season resumes this fall likely around September, in September 10th I would say. I'm okay with the hiatus, so I can come to Vietnam this summer to visit my cousins there with 2 stops at Moscow, Russia and Singapore. Jeric 46,854 June 10, 2016 Share June 10, 2016 Guardians of Harmony may happen as a cartoon. Who knows... Ignoring the fact that no spin off cartoon was confirmed ... The recent episodes for season six were started back in 2014. An 18-24 month product delivery timeframe. In line with the 2008-2010 development of the ahow. When was the Copyright and Trademark filed for GoH filed again? Compare that to FiM filings. Mid season waits like this (which are not bad personally) are nothing compared to the assumed wait in between the 2016 Season 6 finale ... and the Q4 2017 movie and a Q1 2018 spin off. You are talking about another Season 4 to Season 5 length break. Not good. Unfortunately until Season 7 is confirmed, or we have a cancellation confirmation, we'll have to just wait and see.
