But, I noticed that Trixie only has 1 specular highlight. Despite being an adult mare. Isn't that a bit odd? The only ponies with 1 highlight are baby characters. But Trixie's an adult. The highlights are used to make a character look cute (which is why younger ponies have 3), so maybe Trixie was only given 1 because she is supposed to be the antagonist. A manipulative and rude show-off pony shouldn't look cute! It kinda makes sense to me, since she was introduced in the first season of the show and there weren't many antagonists at that point. Adding to this...she's a Timelord. Think about it. In one of Tennant's episodes, someone mentioned to him(I think it was Donna) having "old eyes" yet he was a young looking guy in his mid/late 20s..at the time He was over 900 years old. I think it also explains the animosity toward Twilight a lot better. Trixie has more experience with magic than everyone in Ponyville, and enough to where she feels she's earned bragging rights. Getting shown up by an equally trained pony from her generation probably wouldn't matter to her much, but a kid like Twilight? I can see why that would cause her to lose it. No questions asked.
