Is there anything you'd like The Map to do/Be shown to be important towards?

So, here's a question. Its commonly complained about (On 4chan as well as occasionally on here) that the table doesn't seem to have had much of a purpose in the show.

Is there anything that you'd like to see the table DO in the future, or have it be revealed to have as a purpose, besides the small missions we've been shown so far?
Would you like to see another big villain episode, or have it be shown to act as a safeguard about anything?
Is there any episode ideas specifically dealing with the table that you think would be good?
Do you want it to just be as it is?
Is there anything in relation to the world as a whole that you'd like the table to represent or do?

I assume you mean the map right? I want the map to do the one thing it was supposed to do before: Send the mane 6 to different parts of Equestria, preferably to parts that have not yet been seen. If there if one thing I absolutely love in a great piece of media, it is worldbuilding and the map could do just that, but it has been vastly under-utilized. I am happy they brought it back, but will that even matter at this point? I would like to think so, but I don't think it will.

I'd like for it to send the Mane 6 to more exotic places, places we haven't seen before. The land of the Zebras, Saddle Arabia, or some entirely new location. Like for example the MLP equivalent of Russia - yes, I'd like to see more ponies with that accent. Perhaps we can see if it has some more functions too, we know it acts as a time portal too, who knows what else it could do?

I want some better worldbuilding out of this show.

Plus we already have a map of the show and there are several locations that haven't been visited yet in the show.

I am curious to see what Las Pegasus and Hollow Shade would be like.

I just want them to do more than what they've been doing, going to new locations and using bringing different Mane 6 parings to the mix. No more going to Manehattan or Canterlot, no more of the same parings like Rarijack used for the billionth time. Take us to new places, places we've either heard of but never seen before like Fillydelphia or Las Pegasus, or even places completely new and never heard of, with pairings underused like Raridash or Appleshy

Yeah worldbuilding or at least hint at Zecora's origins a bit. Or more zebras. Although knowing this show..Zebra's are problaby jerks too cause only ponies have 'true' friendship.  No more manehatton or canterlot. Yeah Las Pegisus or maybe the badlands. I mean thier world bulding in the comics but...those are technicaly show canon.

 

How about Rainbow and AJ go on a mission or Fluttershy and PInkie, or Spike..somehow.

It's like this show has really gone down the pipes. A good show would be the kind that left clues and easter eggs in the previous episodes that give out hints that there would be something... like a map but not directly say it was a map that would become important later on, but none of this is ever clarified, DHX studios just drops this map right down here, just like how they just took the journal and made is so anti-climactic in it's usage and importance they're doing the same here. Even if the map ends up leading up to anything it will be humdrum because there was nothing that set the map apart from whatever cliche we've seen in other shows or I would say RPGs. All maps end up leading somewhere we know that and it's nothing about it that was amazing. Was that map originally used by Starswirled the Bearded? Was it the lost map of Daring Do? Up till now though it's too late to give the map an interesting origin and build up. But on further thinking there is one way they can redeem the map's importance but I'm not going to say.

I figured the map was made/created on the spot by the Tree of harmony, I don't think it existed at all before the mane six essentially got the Tree to create it.

There is a notable absence of the equivalent of any east Asians in MLPFIM. So it would be interesting to see that.

I for one would like the map to show use more of Equestria as not involving just ponies but visiting other animal species/cultural likes too. "Spice up your life" would feel at home in Saddle Arabia so to say rather than another Canterlot centered locale.

I'd like to see it used more often. Seriously, we've only seen the map used 5 times!

4. The Smokey mountains

Also, if you're only going to use it 3-4 times per season, please don't waste slots on reacurring areas that we've already seen a dozen times (even though I love Canterlot!)

Being apathetic about worldbuilding in this show (especially given that I think the show is rather poor at it), I want the map to have a *purpose* beyond just being a lazy excuse to have two characters in one place. I want it to be explained, and more importantly, I want the characters to question it. When the characters just accept it as important and necessary, it feels like an excuse for plots to happen rather than a legitimate plot device in its own right. Sure, at this point they know that the map is leading them to people with friendship problems, but why didn't they question it before? I'd also like the map episodes to have more to do with characters we actually know and care about. I mean, I like Coriander and Saffron well enough, but I'd be much happier if these episodes didn't seem to sidestep proper character development. For a recurring aspect of the show, the map doesn't feel like it pushes the show forward at all.

-Rainbow effect changed from plot to purge

-Armor changed from plot to crystal, structure

-It now has a finite mana pool

-Decreased sensitivity on events: now only detects major disturbances

-Spike’s seat buffed to match the rest

-Fixed a bug that prevented it to display solo missions

 

Other Changes:

-Glimmer’s armor reduced by 1, changed from plot to creep

-Rarity’s number of legs reduced from 4 to 3, 9
