But I'd want it to be something I had to actually put effort in to accomplish, since hearing everyone's thoughts all the time would be maddening. But knowing what people are thinking, and more importantly, their inner desires and feelings, can create understanding, and understanding is the greatest ingredient for successful social contact, from relationships all the way to business negotiation.
