I think what Drago was talking about was that "Astral Star" doesn't sound like a name you'd find any normal person using, unless you want to add that they were bullied a lot when they were younger xP

It's up to @Drago Ryder whether or not that's acceptable, but if you want to be safe, you could do what I did and just pick a first and last name that starts with the same letter than your character's first and last names start with.

It probably would be a good idea to have a few MLP related things here and there in the RP. That's basically what I was trying to do earlier plus it's sort of common sense as it is MLP forms in the end.

But still it's your choice if you want this or not.

Just thought I'd give everyone an update here as to why I've been so inactive.  Last week was really busy what with preparing for a midterm and starting a new lab, but this weekend was just as bad as I caught a cold AND had to write a lab report.  I'm still sick atm, but as soon as this passes, I should be up for putting out replies again.

Since the show is satire, I'm thinking of a few comedic heroes, but the one I wanna rp as isn't going to be satire.

 

For satire heroes was thinking of Magnet Man (only has the ability to have metal stick to him like a katamari and it usually immobilizes him with the impact force)

Spin-man-top who thinks he is a pokeman^tm and when he spins says spinspinspin and repels enemies and attacks with his spins, and can vomit to intercept projectiles with precise accuracy while spinning. He only says spincycleru in conversation. He has multiple special moves based on name variants of his name and gives a full anime style monologue explaining each one(with only the word spincycleru repeated and body language).

Another can have the power of angsty anger and vent it like steam onto monsters. He is quite powerful, or so he thinks.

Or one person with the power of friendship and is nude and hairless and painted to look like rainbow dash and has hoof-like gloves and boots, and has the ability to always move 20% faster than the second fastest in their vicinity, and can nuke enemies with rainbows. He was too fast to be noticed by the hero company.

 

But anyways lol.

Power- Uncontrolled subconscious shapeshifting, basically his mind has subconscious telepathy and he shapeshifts like a cuttlefish based on environment and the abilities of those around him. People have mistaken him for monsters before so he usually travels alone and in a black cloak and has minor telekinesis and mind-reading so floats around and can easily detect whats near him as he shapeshifts based on biological life around him more than environment and his form partially mimics those whom are in the vicinity. Larger enemies means he will become larger, but it takes 30 massive beings in the region to be considered massive in size himself. He is only four feet tall if no beings(including humans) are within 30,000 meters. He can pick up on intentions of enemies, and prefers not to fight because when monsters die within his vicinity it causes him trauma as if it happened to him, unless he eats their remains(he can absorb them directly through contact, this is consumption mode and he lacks conscious thought during it), then his powers increase due to the extra energy from consumption equivalent in proportion to how strong they are and he enters a mode of extra-consciousness with extreme sensor and mind-reading abilities within his vicinity, and has the powers of all in the region combined with the strength of whom he consumed or less with proportion of consumption applicable. (like 1,000 kilos of meat and a dragon-tier threat (each tier is 1 magnitude above the previous) and he consumes 100 kilos of it then he gains an additional strength of a 'tiger' rating which adds to his strength. He is 'wolf' level normally which means he will be 11x stronger and subconsciously mimic 11x as much as he previously has(size change also differs during such, would only require about 3 massive beings to become massive himself)). It also depends on range he is from his opponent how influenced by them his form changes to also based on magnitude. Within 3 to 30 meters of touching is a 100% power gain. Within 30-300 is 100-10% 300-3,000 meters is 10% to 1% then of course 30,000 is 0.1% power(or size) gain. Always knows if someone is dead or not within his range, but cannot detect dead bodies who were killed before he entered the vicinity. Despite all the numbers being used I expect strengths and distances to be approximate anyways so it'll be estimations I suppose. If he fully consumes the dead who died within his range he permanently can use their strength next time he consumes the dead(and this time) and can make some conscious decisions on what he really wants to do. Also he can control his shapeshifting during said period. If he eats a god tier he will gain the ability to shapeshift consciously and based on imagination, and if he eats a dragon tier threat or S rank hero he will retain conscious control of his actions and can always shapeshift based on previous forms he has eaten.

 

Personality- Avoidant personality. Likes hanging out in the peaceful sections as his mood changes based on who he is near quite readily. Likes playing with children and protecting children and only shows his face to gain the trust of people when no monsters are around, and its one of his only motivations to deal with monsters. He partially gains personality from those around him but he can internally know better than other's processing, so can easily feel conflicted unless he has a purpose to being in an area then all he has to do is remind himself how things are but if a monster attacks him he ends up adopting the attacking behavior back at whom starts it if its a 1v1 fight. Another reason why he subconsciously decides to hide is because he is very vulnerable to distant attacks. He would enjoy videogames but his concentration rapidly dwindles with others around him, which he has learned how to more easily deal with children because their attention can shift a lot more readily. Also when people are scared he intuitively becomes protective because of their fear they want to seek protection and him protecting others becomes more natural due to that fear and his greater capability. Also when he is at risk he is pro-social such as hiding in a crowd which is easy because of the mentality and with the heightened emotions he tends to accidentally pursue what others would more readily but can sometimes catch himself. When he is avoidant its usually when conflict occurs, then he can be avoidant for a long time until he stumbles upon a daycare or such and reenables himself to get into vicinity of others to relax and look more normal. Because of these changes of behavior and such he feels entirely like in his life he makes no decisions and just goes where the wind blows and feels sorta helpless. Once he eats something that died and is close to him in vicinity though and becomes extra-conscious he does make his own choices (which slowly decreases over time til he next consumes, based on magnitude of whom he consumes(1.2 hours per normal human, 2 for c class, 2.4 for wolf 240 for demon etc, in rp will just approximate, the numbers mean little). If he stays with a crowd for a while though he can forget who he is like and just fit in for some time, but then when a monster/threat shows up he will change as it makes people fearful of him, then he will flee again. Depending on the aggression of the group he hangs with, if they retaliate he might as well, but if he was eating some food regularly he can retain that one conscious decision to not fight back and to just flee instead. But also it hurts reputation if others see him eating dead humans who were just killed by a monster before him, but he can shapeshift as he pleases during then briefly which helps factor into decisions. He likes what those around him like generally, until theres confliction in an environment or tension then he sides with the most rationally well thought out argument if he had recent food, otherwise he will side with the popular opinion, usually. If he refuses to side with the popular opinion for too long his attention and memory and self-control suffer as it brings out further cognitive dissonance. If he eats a dragon or god tier threat or S rank hero, he will choose the most rational side to side with always, and pursues his own interests which are for self-betterment and the betterment of people as a whole and will not he controlled by his subconscious mimicry anymore. Most likely to hit on narcissists or be extra friendly with those who are extra friendly.

 

I will understand if you ask me to simplify it lol. Heck I'll simplify it anyways (free of charge! lel)

 

tl;dr

 

Power- subconsciously shapeshifts copying and sensing multiple beings around him proportional to how close they are and gaining their abilities and personality, with some projection issues with personality occasionally. If they consume a dragon s class hero or demon threat they will not be a slave to their shapeshifting, andif consuming a god tier threat will be able to shapeshift into anything they have seen or sensed in any combination they can think of. 

 

Personality- Differs based on environment and people around himself.

Hope my post was fine, it is a bit late. And I'm sorry for that. I tried to make it not too painfully long, yet not giving up detail. I gave some background information, as well as some current information about his own, I don't know how to put it... Job-related problems, I guess? Also, my grammar isn't the greatest. I also didn't proofread as I had gone way past my directed schedule, but I'm sure it's not too terrible... Considering how I got the highest grade in english, but nevermind that. As long as you all see it as readable I guess it's fine.

Seeing as how I have a friend in here, think I'll give this a try myself.

 

 

Name: Wally Slick (Actual name is Wallace Smith, but he thought it sounded boring.)
Hero name: Sign Punk
Gender- Male
Age-20

 

Power-Is able to use road signs to invoke powers associated with the type. In particular, he can use stop signs to make a barrier around himself that stops all inertia in an area (Give or take, it doesn't stop all motion, as long as they're slow enough.). slow signs to decrease the movement speed in an area, and one way signs to only allow movement in one direction. These forces also affect him, and he can't control who it affects, just if the effect is active. There's also a limit to how big the effect is, so creatures or objects that are too big won't be affected, and if something has enough strength or speed, they can overcome the effect entirely.

 

He's also trained himself to be observant and fast, as well as using jet powered roller blades... thugh those are more accessories and trained abilities then powers.

 

Personality- Wally is a bit full of himself, thinking his power is more impressive than others, and will run his mouth off at anyone who disagrees. In reality, he's a bit of a coward with a heart of gold, as he genuinely cares about being a hero and helping others. Ultimately, he likes to put on a big show, even though his main strategy is hit and run, before finishing off his opponent while they're weak. Effective, if not glamorous.

 

Appearance- Wally is skinny, and about 5'11. Though he has some toned musculature, ultimately he looks rather gangly. This is emphasized by his mohawk and nose, lip, brow and ear piercings, giving him a threatening look. His hair is dyed red, while his tongue is bizarrely long(Also pierced). Further, even though he uses rollerblades, he wears no safety equipment, so his knees and elbows almost always have bandaids on them, along with scrapes and bruises all over his arms and legs.

 

His costume consists of short, baggy shorts, a grey tank top and a black jacket with the sleeves ripped off and several punk band pins placed on it.

 

I hope this is satisfactory.

 

(Edit!) An addendum to his powers. He doesn't have to use only legal road signs. He can use fake one, or objects that look like the as long as they have the correct color and letters. It also doesn't have to be made of metal. It can be painted onto a surface, and it will work. However, smaller they are, the easier they are to use, but the less power he can get out of them. The bigger they are, the more power, but the harder he needs to concentrate.
