general Anyone here can't drive?

Aye. It wouldn't be wise for me to drive with my disabilities.

Also, my family struggles with money as it is--we simply couldn't afford a car, its upkeep, and gas.

I can't Drive, I'm only 15 but even When I grew 16, I had to wait Couple of Years to get My Driver's License just so I could Drive (I hope I could Drive better when I'm Older).

I cannot drive either, due to crippling anxiety issues. Numerous times I have tried to put myself in various driving scenarios in my mind and I just cannot do it. I heart rate would be skyrocketing at every car passing me or at every stoplight. There is just no way. This was a source of a lot of self-dislike before for me, but I have since accepted this. It does limit me pretty hardcore, but I try to live within my means and be happy.

I can't drive because I can't see well enough and I don't have a car.

I did have some practice when I COULD see and it was fine, though I swear my heart was going to rip out of my chest because it made me absurdly anxious.

I can't drive ......

My family is afraid to give me my licenses and a car because before I was even 5 I wrecked like 2-3 cars.... BUT on that note I am afraid to drive also.

How did you manage to wreck 2-3 cars before the age of 5?

I can't drive simple because I don't trust myself to drive. I know that if I even try to drive just once I'm going to mess up horribly which is why I never even applied for my permit yet, I really just plan on sticking to trains and buses here.

With my medical issues I can't drive. I'm not sure I would have become a driver even if the medical issues hadn't arisen. Back in high school I did take driver's ed. I was bad at it. I became scared. Before I could even think about it again, I had these medical issues.

I hate not being able to have the independence. I hate having to rely on other people to even go to the store since all of the stores on the other side of the town. I'm just a burden. =(

I also can't drive. I think I'm afraid that something bad might happen

I had the same mentality when I started driving in high school.

After a year or two I got over it slowly.

What disabilities do you have?

Severe fatigue, chronic pain, clinical depression, brittle type one diabetes, OCD, migraines, panic attacks when stressed, and eyesight issues (among others).

I also have difficulty remembering things, making decisions quickly, and paying attention to my surroundings.

I have a learners license but I really don't like driving.  My Anxiety makes it hard ti stay calm so I'm constantly stressed when I'm in the car.  I've had a few breakdowns after stressful situations but nothing while driving anyways.  I much prefer taking the bus if I want to go anywhere.  My dad dosent have a car anyways so I would not have much of a chance to drive anymore.

I have autism, OCD, major depressive disorder, and ADHD. There's no way I could pull that off. My family isn't exactly Bill Gates either.

I can drive, but just not at night because of a restriction due to vision...hope to get it lifted soon...

Yes and no...

I hide this from a lot of people in real life, but I'm almost 19 and still haven't gotten my license. I got my permit a few years ago but I have freaked out and had panic attacks behind the wheel. To get around, I just rely on public transportation, my bike, my friends, and my own two feet. It's healthier and far less expensive anyway.

My parents aren't too happy about me not having my license yet, but honestly I've never had a reason to complain. In college, I get by just fine without driving *shrug*
