Ever wonder if the mayor of Ponyville ever had a family well during the episode of ( A friend in need )

if you look closely when Pinky Pie starts to sing the smile smile song they show the mayor with her family.

 

Just letting every one know if you ever wonder if she had a family or not.

Since Equestria is inferred to be a monarchy, I would assume they would more be representative of British or other Commonwealth politicking.

Hmmm... interesting catch, though as everypony else is saying, I have to agree that it's more likely that they're government colleagues of the mayor, rather than her family. But still, that's interesting, I never really noticed those two alongside her.

I think the mayor's family is a... colorful one, given that the mayor would go to lengths to dye her hair from pink to grey. And no, the picture is just the three branches of government, as people already pointed out

When I first saw them, I assumed they are all just government workers. Whether they're related or not isn't specified. They do all have striped hair, though, so that may suggest a family resemblance.

 

Whatever the case, the idea that they're family is a nice thought.

The left pony's cutie mark is a gavel, the one on the right has a scroll (as everyone can see) these two items are associated with judicial and legislative branches of governance, I'm not sure how the mayor's mark shows her executive power but it's established that she is the mayor. Despite the fact that Equestria is a monarchy it seems that (due to their cutie marks) these ponies represent the three branches mentioned by the doctor.

It could all jsut be a coincidence and maybe the filly is the ( forget what a guy pony is called xD ) the dudes kid and the dude is friends with the mayor. But who nkows, maybe they are family. I just think if they were they might show them together more then just in one epsidoe.

The Mayor is Pinkie's real mom. The Mayor came from a prestigious family, and knew her teenaged pregnancy would ruin her name when she wanted to run for mayor in the future. So when the baby(Pinkie) was born, the Mayor abandoned Pinkie outside Ponyville, whom was found by local rock farmer. Who raised her as their own.
