Do you think Rainbow Dash is the best character?

I honestly think that Rainbow Dash is the best character. She's very tough and fast! And also she has the best personality. 

Also she can do the Sonic Rainboom.

And also everypony in "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic" loves her.

I have to disagree...I don't think viewers would identify with Rainbow Dash. With Fluttershy, many people could relate to being afraid to stand up for themselves; people with ADHD could connect with Pinkie Pie, and so on. With Rainbow Dash, well...I don't think there's too many people in the world that are as awesome as she's made out to be  

I think she's one of the most iconic and recognizable characters...but don't forget, she's super unlikeable in several episodes, too, such as 28 Pranks later.

I will have to disagree. Honestly, from when I first watched the show, I couldn't relate. Her massive ego and self-esteem is something which I find alien. I am kind of athletic, but I am not a Formula. Her obnoxious trait is still annoying to me, I don't find her funny or cool or cute or anything, I don't like her.

I seriously can't say that there is a "best" character in this or any show. There are many people which watch this show, with different personalities and different likings.

As Dash sings in the latest song, this is the reason people love and hate her. Its a very split discussion. Some people love in your face characters like her, others really hate it because of the egomania. 

Me? I freaking love her because she has reflected a lot of my old personality - I've been trying to change and make myself a better person because of her attitudes in her episodes and seeing how people can hate her. I don'y like being hated, I've had a lot of drama in my past because of the way I acted. I'm a wannabe extrovert, I just want to be sucessful and show off what I can do, but I'm learning to curb my egotism.

Of all the ponies, I relate to her the most (yes I know a lot of people say that), but I already mentioned personality, the other thing I am is a tomboy. =3 

I'm also not a fan of quiet shy "pathetic" characters. Sorry

Based from her episodes from S1 to S6, i would say no. Her competitiveness and her athletic could make many awesome episodes, instead, she is placed in episodes where she takes idiots sticks and her ability is not used to its full potential. She should be the best fighter in the group (best flyer, can compete AJ in the race, love fighting some monsters) then what did she do in premiere and finale? Do something trivial, being mind-controlled, being captured, being equalized like the rest of her team. What did she do in any slice of life episode after S3? Rainbow Falls, Newbie Dash, Daring Dont etc, you get the picture.

Rainbow Dash used to be my favorite character of FIM during S1, her sonic boom is so awesome, without her, there is no mane 6, very awesome, right? Her design is unique and the best among mane 6, her egos, her ability, she should be 'awesome' type of characters, imagine Levi in Attack on Titan, he is awesome all the time, even he cannot fight, he never lose his coolness, THAT is A COOL CHARACTER IS SUPPOSED TO BE. Rainbow Dash try hard to be awesome but in reality, Fluttershy is three times more badass and she didnt even try at all, make RD look like a parody.

Truly badass characters dont need to remind you how awesome they are, they just do it, which RD character is supposed to do, do something awesome.

I'm conflicted about my feelings about her, but I do not think she's even close to being the "best". I dislike characters that are as self-centered as her, yet it does make her who she is. And I feel like, considering the part she sang in the most recent song, that she's very insecure about herself, thus pretends to be as cocky as she is. I don't really know how to explain what I want to say, but all I can say is that I don't think she's the best.

I dont remember much from the Show, i only remember one scene where she laughed about one of her Friends, while they simply said, they could do something that she can.

So i already never considered her a good Friend and also not a very good character. She is only above Pinkie Pie but below everyone else of the rest of the main 6.

For one, Rainbow Dash kicked a dragon in the head, performed the sonic rainboom and saved the wonderbolts and Rarity from failing to their deaths,  stood up to Fluttershy's and Gilda's bullies when they were fillies, and, of course, performed this without a single scratch on her afterwards:

And Fluttershy is the one who saved the day, she made that dragon cried like babies. After kicking that dragon's head, RD cower in fear just like the rest of her friends.

Like i said above, Sonic Rainboom is reason i thought she is the best character of the show at that time. I dont dismiss anything about her at that point.

That what i love about Hurricane Fluttershy, she encouraged Fluttershy to fly, i dont dismiss anything of that at that point.

Dont forget her awesome moment in Wonderbolt Academy, she rather give up her dream than become asshole like Lightning Dust, that's admirable act.

I dont dismiss anything that make her an awesome character in the first 3 seasons, she was my favorite afterall. Some occasional moments like when she saved Quibble Pants from the bridge gave us some glimmer of how awesome she is, not in works of fictions (Daring Do books )

They are all great characters.  They all have relatable qualities, dynamic and complex personalities, and realistic struggles.  I don't think any one of them is really any better than another.

What I've always loved about this show is that there's really no end to how deep these characters can go if you take the time to look and get to know them.  (Paraphrasing a very wise man, there.  Ye Olde GhostFaceKiller.)  In the case of Rainbow, out of all the mane 6, she is the most likely to maintain an outward appearance of confidence while secretly feeling insecure.  I speculate that her reputation puts a lot of pressure on her, and sometimes takes a toll.  She can also be surprisingly emotional, despite her typical demeanor of toughness.  For example, in Fluttershy Leans In, during the scene when Fluttershy describes her dream of the sanctuary, Rainbow, and only Rainbow, began tearing up.  That's why these characters are so great.  Because they're interesting.

Personally, I hate this character. I just don't find her interesting. Her personality rubs me the wrong way on so many levels. I hate egotistical arrogant characters with a heart of gold and she is no exception.

A character being seen as cool in-universe doesn't necessarily make the character itself good in my opinion. Such a character could actually be too perfect in some cases to be enjoyable. The character's personality, backstory and such are more important to me.

As for Rainbow Dash, I like her but I'm not sure if I'd consider her the best character in the show. While I find it hard to give an objective view on who is the best-written character in the series (and won't try to do that), my personal favorite character is Pinkie Pie. But I think Dash is a great character. She isn't too perfect, she has both positive and negative characteristics like everyone else on the show. As I've stated before, I do consider her the most developed character over the run of the series. She has become a lot less arrogant over the seasons. She genuinely cares for her friends and other ponies, and remains loyal to them, though she still gets carried away at times. On the whole, while Twilight's change as a character (and her discovering friendship) has been given a lot of attention in the show, I think most of that already took place in the first couple of episodes, while Dash's development has been more organic.
