The G1 episode 'Somnambula', featuring Somnambula, was one of my favorite episodes, so I'm surprised I didn't know about her G4 appearance.  I like ancient Egyptian mythology and aesthetic so I'm happy with the new her.

I mostly liked the G1 episode because it featured the Big Brother ponies, my favorites set. They had to rescue the other ponies from Somnambula, an old witch who forced a magic bird to sing. The song made pony dreams a reality, in their hypnotized minds at least, but siphoned their youth to Somnambula. I'll have to see if the new her is anything like that.

No, G4 Somnambula is an heroic figure. For what I know, she’s an in-name only.
