I guess some movie theaters don’t keep movies that long I think it’s becouse they only keep the most popular ones in for a long time line for example the new spider man homecoming and captain America civil war they been in theaters for a looong time.

Movies only have a limited life cycle in theaters, they have to take the old movie out so they have room to show new movies. It’s been about a month now, so it’s about time for it’s life to end in many theaters.

At the same time, ninjago has been in theaters FAR longer than MLP, but is still staying up. MLP just isn't doing that well sadly. (And ninjago was a FLOP and still had more momentum than MLP)

It has been about a month now since the movie came out so in a way it's run its course in theatres--though it could end up in the cheap theatres for a few more weeks until it gets phased out from that. I think another reason is that the movie hasn't been as financially successful as appearance would lead us to believe. Because of this, theatres don't want to run the risk of not earning ticket sales so they want it gone to make way for the next ones to come along. That, or Hasbro decided to pull the movie as they have done so before in the past with other movies they've produced.

Ninjago was also a much bigger release than MLP, you can’t compare them in the same way.

Well something that you are all missing is sales agreements.

-

I know this is not common knowledge but.

Movie theaters don't actually get to make ANY money off of ticket sales until THREE MONTHS after release.

So they actually lose money if only a few people come to see a movie.

-

Its still showing a lot of the theaters around me, but not in others.

It really just depends on traffic.

-

Movies like Dunkirk and wonder woman are already out of some of the theaters around me.

-

The movie has done (Comparative to its cost) Very well. Some where in the x2.5 to x10 range. (Depending on if you belive 4chan or you know... people who actually know something about movie making)

checking my local cinemas. Most of them pulled out poneh from their theaters. Only one of them still has them in it, but only one time. Hope I reach it in time

Well, the regular theater in my city stopped showing the movie yesterday and now the small one is showing it. So if I wanted to I could go see it for $5 instead of $11. Also, keep in mind digital release could very well be sometime next month or January.

Damn, missed the last screening of poneh in that theater because of lunch. I still got one local theater showing poneh until Wednesday, but I have to get up early

And just as it ends in cinemas in the USA it only just starts screening in cinemas in Australia. It's because the MLP movie Australian release date was the 2nd of November so it only started showing here a few days ago! :)

I've procrastinated and have been unable to watch it due to... "timing" of school and other stuff. Guess I'll watch it on DVD or some other way later :fluttershy: .
