Were you satisfied with how the CMC got their cutie marks?

I was quite pleased with the condition that caused them to get their marks. However, I would have liked to have seen Spoiled Rich and Diamond Tiara have a confrontation a few episodes earlier to allow for a more gradual build-up to her reformation in "CotLM".

I love how their marks are like their coat of arms that knights used to have back in the middle ages. Each symbol on their shield representing a part of their individual trait:

Apple Bloom coming from a family of Apple farmers. (Apple symbol)

Sweetie Belle being a singer (music note)

Scootaloo likely dreaming of being as awesome as Rainbow Dash, whether or not she'll end up flying (lighting bolt like Dash's)

I would of preferred for them to get their cutie marks in separate episodes so it would have added more to their character development, and all of their callings to be the same? I don't know I think it could of just had more effort put into their true callings.

If they got their cutie marks separately, I think it would have been easier to relate to and allow for more individualized character arcs, but what we got made a lot of sense to me. Of course the ponies who spend all their time looking for cutie marks would somehow get marks related to that. And I found the fact that they got them at all very satisfying, especially after it had been built up for so long; I was beginning to think this was never going to happen. The actual designs don't make much sense to me, and neither does the weird light show which happens when they get the marks, but I like that episode a lot so I'm not too bothered by those things.

And the bright light was to make it more dramatic since they've been seeking their Marks for a long time, and their goals were reached at long last.

VERY satisfied. Lost Mark is the CMCs at their strongest and most mature. When Diamond Tiara was at her lowest point, they decided to follow her so she wouldn't get hurt. Witnessing her mother emotionally abusing her is mortifying to both them and us as an audience. Whether you love or hate someone, nobody deserves to be treated that way. Right after that, the CMC worked to help improve DT's oneself and become a better pony. Considering how nasty the CMC-DT/SS feud was since Call of the Cutie, LM (and the CMCs gaining their marks) is rewarding and concludes the arc.

I dunno, I know the shield thing indicates their talent for solving cutie mark problems, but the symbols on those shields don't seem to correspond to the epiphany they actually had.

Nobody else has had that, so it just seems kinda weird to me.

Honestly? I am ^^.

The episode not only gave me a redemption arc to Tiara (something I was waiting for a while), but the way the obtain their cutie marks is unaspected to say the least. It's not just the fact that they helped a pony who they used do deride in the pat (not that I balme the for :P ), but they finally stopped about trying forcing a cutie mark on themselves, learning that helping others is more important (sure, it's a bit silly the fact that, right whe, they say "who care about cutie marks anymore", bang cutie marks for yah xDD. Also, was it really needed to make that scene similar to Twilight's alicornification?). Only sad thing is that, now that Diamond Tiara is good, the show seems uninterested about her anymore; I mean come on, you can like make an episode about her and her mommy's issues, perhaps giving some reason on why Spoiled Rich's like that, you know...

I'd rather something relatable to life and the challenges of growing up, as opposed to this convoluted idea about a group of individuals helping others with matters of self-realization, by means of precocious understanding, while being virtually fillies.

Considering that cutie marks for every talent and destiny appear when a pony is young, I'm not sure why their age matters. I assume Equestria has to have therapists and psychologists, so their destinies aren't that far removed from that since it fits as under a social worker type career.

Needed more robots and space battles.

Other than that I thought it was pretty awesome and wrapped the cutie mark thing up nicely. I know some have issues with it for various reasons, but as loosely as the show defines cutie marks and their actual meanings I think theirs fit them quite well and makes perfect sense within the context of the show.

They got their Cutie Marks and they were... Cutie Marks of getting Cutie Marks.

Is this what Fallout Equestrea meant when it said Littlepip got "A Cutie Mark of a Cutie Mark"?!?

Not a very big fan of it. For starters, the episode itself was pretty bad.  Secondly, the cmc getting unique cutie marks at different times wouldn't only have made more sense, it would also have allowed for some fairly interesting episodes.

It was ok, though it was slightly dull for my taste, I liked the idea of them getting similar cutie marks but they were established to be good at different things so I was more hoping for them to get separate marks or something, but at the same time. Not to mention the episode has a lot of rushed moments in it and is kinda stale for a big reveal it felt more like a last minute add on to the episode than how the episode played out really, they could have easily cut off the CMC getting their marks from the episode and still had a somewhat ok episode.

No, this way was fine. I only wished it would happen later in the show, because I find the CMC episodes before this one a bit more enjoyable. :dash: And they must show Daimond Tiara a bit more.
