Aside from being very annoyed with cuss words dropping like 5 seconds and the same cringy dick jokes, it was pretty fun episode and I like the irony at the end pfft.

My favorite line out of the whole episode is Blitzo's "We're not going to kill the whole family, just the mother. We're ruining a family!" :ButtercupLaugh: like pffft that's so funny

I hate Millie's voice change! I really hate it, I want the old one back.

I didn't like the family turning out to be something akin to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, for me it took away from the entire point of Moxxie's hesitation. I would have been fine if the famiyl were just nasty to each other or the mother was callous and irresponsible to make the teacher's snap even more justified. They didn't need to be killers on top of that, it was pure overkill.

I also didn't like Stolis' voice change, but I think I know WHY it was changed ...

I feel it has a cheesy twang to it that isn't as upbeat and spirited as her original voice. The original was 'plainer' which worked well against Moxxie's more 'textured' voice

Episode 2 exists and was really good.

Think I can safely say that Stolas has become my favorite character of HB now.

Yah that episode made Stolas really more relatable

H-how is Stolas such a creep but also such a wholeseome guy!?

He just has a thing for imps... don't kink-shame! ;)

Although, given the second episode, which hadn't come out when I originally posted this, Stolas might just have single target sexuality for Blitzo. He doesn't show any interest in either Millie or Moxxie, indeed, he is quite dismissive of them, and he denies any kind of attraction to the imp butler. Sure, he could be lying, but his reaction seemed genuine...

And let's not forget, he is a literal demon... creep comes with the territory. The wholesome part is the surprising one!

I've seen both of the Helluva Boss episodes aired after the pilot and they were both pretty good. I liked Murder Family better, but Loo Loo Land was great for taking the piss out of Disney while giving us some genuinely heartwarming moments with Stolas.

Loo Loo Land didn't even feel like an episode of Helluva Boss (or at least like the first episode). The point of the show is to hire the imps for assassinations, correct? Having them be body guards kinda defeats the purpose of the show, which is to put the imps in wacky situations while they try to murder their targets.

Now I don't mind the change of pace, the episode in a vacuum is really good, but I'd think more people would want the focus on the main cast and not side characters at least for the first few episodes.

I'm not sure about labeling Stolas as a side character. I'd group him with Loona, in fact; he featured as prominent and had almost as many lines as she did, both in the pilot and the first episode. Supporting character, perhaps. Plus this episode did explore a bit more of the pasts of our favorite group of imps. (Millie talking about her family, Blitzo having a past rivalry with Fizzarolli, etc.) The episode does its fair share of world building and exploring this version of hell, something I remember reading the creators are aiming for in this series, as opposed to Hazbin, which is aimed more towards the narrative.

As for hiring assassins as body guards, it seems a very reasonable move to me. Blitzo's aiming skills are shown to work very well in both situations. It's also a way for Stolas to spend more time with his favorite-"sized" *ahem* imp, so there's a (barely-hidden) ulterior motive at play as well.

What I really love is how they kept certain aspects about Stolas similar to his Ars Goetia description. His description in the ars goetia brings up that he teaches astronomy. From the constellations in the bubbles of the bath in episode 1 to the whole background scene during his entire song in episode 2. I think they did a great job with Stolas overall as a character. Even design wise, he looks great. I’m glad they chose to base him off the owl description. I know some descriptions describe Prince Stolas as a Raven. Honestly I’m glad they took the time to show us his more of his character.

Since they’ve already done one of my favorites, Stolas, so well. I’d personally like to see Prince Seere, Marquis Marchosis and King Paimon make some sort of appearance in either story. Based on what’s been done with Stolas, I’d trust that they’d do them well. I’m also excited to see Lucifer as well. I love his design and based off the description given I have a feeling he’ll become one of my favorite characters.

Ive rewatched episode 2 multiple times and it’s just very well done. The more I’ve watched it the more things I’ve picked up on. It’s been awhile since I’ve had something to really get excited and invest myself in so I personally can not wait to see what more the series brings.

Spoiler

Human disguise Loona is literally how I actually look irl only I don’t have silver/white hair anymore lmao. Way too expensive of a hair color to manage. Also how awkward she was talking to the guy she liked was so me, especially when she found out he had a gf. I swear all the people I’ve fell for here lately have ended up being taken so I feel you so much girl.

Blitzo’s reaction to Loona almost calling him dad was adorable. Drunk Moxxie killed me. Blitzo also killed me in this episode. He is hilarious. His singing in the car had me dying. I need the full version of that song he was singing lol. His comments when he saw his parking spot being taken and at the end when he got his parking spot back.  Blitzo has given me some wonderful material I’ll be quoting for awhile.

Some of my thoughts. Spoilered for those who’ve not seen it yet.
