It all started back in the days of me playing Pokemon Online....

There were four of us who had the Princess names, and I just so happened to be Twilight. Over time I got bored of being called "Princess Twilight" though, and I wanted a change. There was someone (who probably liked me, but that's a completely different story) who always called me "Twi" and my favorite Pokemon is Totodile, so I put the two together and Twi the Totodile became my PO name. Soon it transferred over to my name on other forums, and now it's just my go to name for everything.

 

And that's how Equestria was made!   (I'm sorry, I just had to)

I made up this name in 2005 for MapleStory. I watched Naruto a lot back then and I liked Street Fighter and Ninja Gaiden, so I combined the Katon from Naruto with the Ryu from Street Fighter and Ninja Gaiden.

 

I've been using it everywhere ever since, although there is another person out there who uses it (on Twitter, for instance). If I come to a place where he's beaten me to the punch, I'm KatonRyu13 because I was born on the 13th and I like the number.

I chose mine because, really, no matter what Internet blog or website we post on (with the exception of Faceborg, twitter and a couple of others) we're really all anonymous and I like the shows and I'm thinking of myself as a brony more and more as time goes on so, poni = pony + nonimous = anonymous = poni-namous. (Maybe I could change it to Po-nonymous or maybe it's too late, now?)  Also, since I'm very clear on my gender identity I didn't want anything that sounded too girly because: I'm a guy.
