Most Popluar Pony?

Hey there. I was just curious, who does everything think is the most popular pony out of the mane 6, and then just overall?

Note that I'm NOT asking what your favorite is, just what ponies are the most liked by the community as a whole.

 

Out of the mane 6, I think RD or Pinkie is probably the most popular. they just seem to pop up everywhere I go, on the forums, or just the rest of the internet. Out of everypony, I gotta say that I think Derpy is the one I see posted the most, followed VERY closely by Vinyl Scratch.

Pinkie and Rainbow are two of the top loved characters, and are also the two most advertised. Fluttershy has some of the most fans out of cuteness. So I'll say one of those three.

Indeed. If I may add on a bit though.

 

Rainbow Dash: Her one-liners took off more than most ponies, and yes, she has become a symbol of awesomeness for the show, as it's what she always talks about in-show. She also fits the popular tomboy stereotype that appeals to a lot of people for a lot of different reasons, and, though mostly awesome, she does have cuteness to her when she wants to have it. And even only sometimes being cute or sad, etc in contrast to her awesomeness makes her a very enjoyable, believable character. For example:

 

 

 

 

Pinkie Pie: Whenever Pinkie is on-screen, she steals a lot of the attention because of her personality, which is far more intense and outgoing than any of the other five, even Dash. I think she's liked because people love to see the random, happy, spontaneous comedy relief characters in action. Pinkie brings both comedy relief, and cuteness, AND occasional seriousness all at once. Like Rainbow, I think there's several different things people love her for.

 

I have nothing to add to Fluttershy XD She just radiates cuteness so she wins a lot of fans, like you said.

I think Fluttershy is many people's favorite, including mine. But many times when I see images representing the show that's just a single pony, it's usually Rainbow Dash. Maybe because she's the most colorful and visually striking.

If I understand correctly, in North America Twilight Sparkle is the most popular, in Taiwan it's a tie between Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash, and in Japan it's Fluttershy.

Popular ponies? I don't know the psychology behind it, but I suspect that people choose their favorite pony based on A) who they relate with the most, B ) who they would want a relationship with, or C) appearance

I have to say Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash. They have been around for a LONG time. Even when I wasn't a brony and when I was little I knew Pinkie and Rainbow.

Obviously Twilight Sparkle would be the most popular pony. She plays a pivotal role in the show, leading the story and characters as well as being the primary protagonist in the two-parter episodes.

 

Now, I'm not saying she is the most liked pony or best pony, but I think she is the pony most people (not just bronies) think of when they think of the show.

Couldn't give a single answer, but like has been stated already, it would have to be between RD, PP, and FS. The majority of people's favorite pony is one of these three, from what I've seen.

From most everything I have seen it has been Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash being the top two ponies of the Mane 6. Pinkie Pie is my favorite pony. I love Pinkie Pie, but I don't meet very many fans of her. So she might be 3rd or 4th best liked pony.Rarity and Twilight Sparkle definitely have a good share of fans too. The most saddest part is that Applejack always seems to be the least liked pony, and I think she deserves better. I have a friend who loves Applejack, and he helps me see a few things about her that I would have missed. In any event each pony is special for their own reasons, and they are meant to be that way. Different, but yet friends all the same. Each has something of value to offer, and this is not limited to their elements.

If you mean in Equestria, most likely Rarity or Pinkie.

Rarity for obvious reasons (Sweet and Elite) and Pinkie because she is friends with everypony in Ponyville.
