I am going to have to go with Spyro

Those games have been the most fun I have ever had being a completionist

Crash Bandicoot just makes me throw my controller in rage most of the ttime due to some unforseen whatever keeping me from getting a certain relic or whatever,

I always hated those http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png

I never got into Crash Bandicoot very much. I played some of the PS1 games when I was little because my dad bought me them. He loved them, but I really enjoyed Spyro more. Spyro 1, 2 and 3 were fantastic gems of the PS1.

To me, both of them became...less than amazing games as the years went by. I stopped getting the new ones, but I still love the first four spyro games, whereas crash, while still fun, didn't really appeal to me a lot. Gotta go with spyro

I like both but probably going with Spyro because it's more interesting and fun overall.

I do have better memories with Crash though so there's that.

I have to go with Spyro here. While I like the Crash games, the Spyro series, to me, is far superior in literally every aspect. The world is far more vibrant, it is not anywhere near as linear, and there is tons of variety whereas Crash doesn't always have a whole lot to work with. The Spyro games are more fulfilled to me and have more fun gameplay element, to me at least.

Spyro the Dragon, without a doubt. The world of Spyro is more vivid and fascinating, the characters are more likeable, the levels are more big and interesting compared to Crash's linear and easy levels, the music is more memorable... I just go on and on. While Spyro does some interesting twists on platformer games like flying and collecting Gems as currency of sorts, Crash Bandicoot is just another standard platformer with no twist to it.

That's not to say I hate everything about Crash Bandicoot, though. The music in that series is amazing, that's for sure. But when you look at it with a critical eye and not a nostalgic one, it's pretty mediocre and lacks variety. There is a reason why Spyro is more popular and has still continued being a successful franchise for all of these years, compared to Crash being cancelled in 2009.

I'm going to say Crash Bandicoot on this one.

I personally had more fun with it, and I liked the series up until Twinsanity, whereas I didn't really care for the Spyro series past the third game.

although i personally prefer mario and freedom planet over both

The choices..THE CHOICES...this is actually really hard to pick but um...I would have to say Spyro. I grew up playing crash, crash twinsanity was the very first game I got for the PS2, I used to play all of the crash games except for the ones for the PS1. I used to play this one Spyro game back in the day...it was called Spyro: a new beginning and whenever I think back to when I used to play that game it gives me chills down my spine. I loved the opening soundtrack and the storyline is absolutely amazing. The graphic design just made the game look very dreamy. I've also replied to a similiar thread of you're favourite video game characters, and one of my favourite actually came from Spyro, Sparks the dragonfly, who is my favourite video game character of all time. I used to play skylanders but then someone ended up breaking the summon pad thingy....

Crash bandicoot 3 was one of my first playstation games and one I had beaten to death when I was little. It was a lot of fun and had so many varied levels to choose from. I enjoyed all the Naughty Dog crash games, but after that the franchise REALLY went down hill.

As for Spyro, didn't really play to many of his games, what exposure I did get was through demos, so I can't really compare.

I loved both games as a kid and I still love them, but I'm gonna have to go with Spyro because I think Spyro is more entertaining.
